# of grants and type

How many grants do you manage? Are they mostly R01’s? I was speaking to someone else in another department and she manages about 100 R01s. All R01s. I am just curious about you guys! Personally, I have about 50 grants about half are R01s. And the other ones range from U awards to P awards to all types of Rs, some Ws, and a couple Fs.

Hi, I work as a research admin at an academic university. I recently got promoted about 3 months ago to a new role. I do not like the new role AT ALL. Every time you start a new position at my university, you have a 6 month ‘probation period’. I want to go back strictly to my old role. Is this possible? or am I out of luck? I don’t want to waste my 2 managers time with the training if it’s not the right fit for me. Any advice or similar experience would be super helpful. Thanks so much
