Persistent "D3D12 Device Crash" with RTX 3060 Laptop (Casper Excalibur G870) in Multiple Games (Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring, etc.)
Hello everyone,
I'm on the verge of throwing my laptop out the window and desperately need help. I have a two-month-old Casper Excalibur G870 laptop with an RTX 3060 graphics card.
A D3D12 device crash has been detected" and suggests a clean driver installation.
Elden Ring
Resident Evil: Requiem (Remake series)
Here is what I have already tried multiple times:
I have done a completely clean installation of the latest NVIDIA drivers using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). Despite this, the crash and the error message advising me to perform a clean installation persist.
I have formatted and reset my computer (OS reinstall) multiple times. The issue still exists.
Since this is a new laptop and I've already performed the most standard software troubleshooting (clean drivers, OS reset), I'm running out of ideas. Does anyone have specific advice for Casper Excalibur models, or are there hidden BIOS settings, power plan settings, or specific D3D12 workarounds that I am missing? Could this indicate a hardware problem with the VRAM or core GPU, even if it's new?
Thank you so much for any help you can provide."
