Sharing some first layer positivity 😅

Besides a couple of (solved) issues, my printer has been working well for 9 months so far, but in the last 2 months I noticed that the first layer started showing some minor issues, in the shape of lines not perfectly bonding with each other on the side of the bed near the door.

After several tries, I could finally achieve the result that you can see in the pictures, which looks pretty good to me.

Here are the parameters that I changed (some are extra fine tweakings)

- In the printer menu I set the Z offset to -0,008 (yes, anything higher or lower didn't work, lol)

- in the quality tab I set the first layer line width to 0,515 (same as above. I tried changing values more than 5 times, before reaching this result)

- in the speed tab I set the infill speed at 60 mm/s for the first layer

The filament is the esun PLA Lite and I'm using the latest official firmware and stock bed and plate (just the other side, because the front got damaged by a bad third party nozzle/hotend)

Between all the posts reporting issues, I wanted to share some positivity. Good day everyone! 😄

Model/part fan not working (when plugged to its port)

Hi everyone,

I'm having this problem where, after nearly 500 hours of printing time with minor issues (nothing serious) the model fan suddenly stopped working, when I turned on the printer. I tried restarting the system and it didn't work, I tried swapping the plugs between the model and heatbreak fans and then it was the heatbreak fan that was not working, so I assumed it was an issue with the port on the toolhead PCB amd not an issue with the fan.

I contacted the Anycubic support and they promptly sent to me a replacement, which arrived in 4 days. I replaced the PCB and, at first, all the toolhead fans were working well, but, as soon as I reassembled everything and put the printer back in place and turned it on again, the model fan wasn't working anymore, with the same "symptoms".

I assume there must be something in the motherboard, since the toolhead PCB is brand new, but I have no idea what to check and where. Any help will be hugely appreciated, thank you!
