Hey! I’m in my second week of IB and I need some advice from others more experienced than I. For my classes, what are the best study plans, reasourses, thoughts on course selection? Also, as the title suggests our TOK teacher left after 2 weeks and we’re doing nothing. Stressed it’s gonna effect me long term when doing my EE and managing IB diploma requirements as I won’t be able to get experienced advice from someone qualified

My Classes:

HL: Biology, Lit and Lang, History of the Americas

SL: Math AA, Physics, Spanish B

Hi! I am an IB DiplOma Program first year student who just wrapped up their first week in IB. What is the biggest piece of advice for someone who’s a known procrastinator and actually wants to keep their hobbies. Also, does my course selection fit well together?

HL: History of the Americas, Biology, Lang and Lit

SL: Spanish B, Math AA, Global Politics

What would you say to someone with this selection? I’m a primarily reading, writing, and history proficient student, whose math and science skills aren’t as much. I’m really into politics and history and I like writing. (Prob won’t after ib lol)

Also how do predicted scores work and how to get them? I’ve seen that a lot on the subreddit but my school has never talked about them.

Hey! I’m conducting a research on the effectiveness of youth engagement programs. This study is mainly for people who have participated in youth civic programs, school student council/government, model UN, or have volunteered for a political campaigns/activist groups. While it’s not required to have done this to take this survey, you will get a completely different set of questions, and I need more people who HAVE done these programs anyway (Age:14-30)

This Data will be used to:

Analyze how people who’ve participated in youth civic programs feel about how much power they have in government, they’re opinion on government officials, and how empowered they feel to make change in their community compare before and after they participated in their programs

Compare how people who’ve participated in youth civic programs feel about how much power they have in government, how they feel about government official, and how empowered they feel to make change to non-program goers

Determine if Age, Gender, or Region effect these opinions

Gather ideas on what we can do to get youth more involved/aware civically
