Question for everyone: How should hard water be treated if you add water to whisky? For example, in the UK, the local water is hard. How can it be made more suitable for adding to whisky for tasting? Do you have any experience to share?

Today I spent 15 minutes trying to unlock my house front door with my car key fob. What's your "my brain completely shut down" moment of the week?
I literally stood there, pressing the unlock button, getting increasingly frustrated that my front door didn’t beep or flash its lights. I even shook the keys. It took a solid quarter-hour for my single remaining brain cell to realize what I was doing. Please tell me I’m not the only one who does stuff like this.
