How do you keep track of places you want to visit when planning a trip?

When I plan a trip, the places I want to go are scattered everywhere: TikTok and Instagram recommendations, spots friends send me, starred places in Google Maps. I kept saving them, then either forgot why I saved them or couldn't remember which app they were in.

As someone that loves lists, what I wanted was simple: one main list with all my saved places that I can search and filter by category or keyword, plus a list I can make just for the day and delete afterward without losing the places themselves. I never found a setup that did both.

How do you keep track of yours? Google Maps lists, Notes app, a spreadsheet, screenshots, something else? And do you add notes to a place, like "try the coffee" or "go for the sunset," or is it mostly just a pin?

I built an app to save and organize places from Google maps, Instagram, TikTok & more (live on iOS, Android testers wanted)

The app helps you save and organize spots you come across on different apps (Google Maps, Instagram, TikTok, AllTrails, etc.) into one place you can categorize, filter, and search, instead of losing track of them across five different bookmarking systems. You can also add the same spot to multiple lists at once, like Hiking and Want to Go.

MyPlaces📍is live on the App Store, and I'm keeping it free right now while I finish up the Android testing phase.

People are downloading it, but what I actually need most right now is active feedback: what's genuinely useful once you're using it day to day, and what's missing or confusing.

If you're on iOS, I'd really appreciate you trying it out and sharing what stood out, good or bad.

If you're on Android, the app isn't public yet, but you can get early access as a closed tester and be one of the first to try it:

  1. First: Join the tester group here - https://groups.google.com/g/myplacesapptesters
  2. Then: Open this link on your Android phone to opt in and install - https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.saba.myplaces

It's listed at $1.99, but free during testing - don't let the price throw you off.

Happy to try out what you're building too.

Android testers needed for MyPlaces(s&o) app

If you use too many apps to save places like Google Maps, Apple Maps, AllTrails, TikTok, Instagram, they all end up scattered with no easy way to organize or find them again. So I built MyPlaces, save from any of those apps, organize into your own lists, and open it right back in the source app when you're ready to go.

It's already available to download on the App Store. I've just finished building the Android version too, and it's currently in the testing phase before it can go public. If you're on Android and want to be one of the first to try it, here's how:

  1. First: Join the tester group here - https://groups.google.com/g/myplacesapptesters
  2. Then: Open this link on your Android phone to opt in and install:https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.saba.myplaces

It's listed at $1.99, but free during testing - don't let the price throw you off.

Feedback is very welcome. Thanks for checking it out!
