Senate sleeper races!!!
Honestly I’m thinking Mississippi. People don’t CHS and she’s a known under performer. Scott Colom seems strong as well as African American turnout expected to be massive due to VRA being overturned.
Incumbents DOA
I saw this on Twitter/X and I want to know your thoughts. Who is the most dead on arrival incumbent this midterm cycle. I think it’s Marianette Miller-Meeks.
What senate race will be the most expensive?
I’m like 95% sure that this midterm will be the most expensive in history (like over $10 billion). But I do think that Texas will be the most expensive race this midterm but maybe in U.S. history. We have not had a race this competitive in a state so large in years. Like since the 80s. And that was before we were pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into a single campaign. Since Texas is so big and has so many different metro areas that are super far away from each other, it’s gonna be expensive regardless (Allred and Cruz spent a lot of money in a non-competitive race for this exact reason). But with Talarico being probably top two candidates this cycle for his state (Peltola being the other one) and Paxton being the dead last worst candidate that any party has put up this year, both parties will spend heavily. My guess is $1 billion dollars minimum. What are your thoughts?
Saw this on Twitter (refuse to call it X) and I wanted to get Reddit’s input. What are your midterm 2026 hot takes?
Mine is that David Jolly will do very well in Florida. Like sub five for Donalds. I think the senate race is a lost cause for Dems (Moody +6-7 MINIMUM), however governors race might be a sleeper.
I just think that Jolly is very strong for Dems (former republican, former swing district representative, and so on), and he’s moderate. Also, Byron Donalds is a particularly bad candidate for Florida (according to my family who lives there (Naples, Lakeland, Boca).
I just think Jolly will do better than expected, but he definitely won’t win.
My prediction is Donalds +4.5 and Jolly flips Miami-Dade, Pinellas, and Hillsborough.
Hi guys! Im super interested to hear your thoughts. I’ve only lived in 2 congressional districts in my life (NJ-04 and NJ-11) and want to hear what people have to say about their preferred candidates in their own congressional elections!
I’m going to vote for Analilia Mejia for NJ-11!
