Special needs car seat suggestions.

My son is 4 and pretty soon I’m going to need to turn his car seat around to be forward facing. The problem is, he gets tired of holding his head up after about half an hour and I don’t want to leave him just slumped forward or something so I’m trying to figure out what you‘re all doing for carseats when your older child has less than ideal neck/head control. I plan to ask our pediatrician about it next time we see her but I like to go in with ideas too :)

So Cal 3rd grade teachers! I want insight.

We live in So Cal and homeschool. I like the student lead approach (meaning, if my kids are super into a certain interest we will try to incorporate that into lessons) but I also try to keep my children up to speed with CA classroom curriculum. I’ve always had the mindset that I don’t want my children to be completely lost if they have to attend a public school due to unforeseen circumstances.

My daughter is going into 3rd grade next year and I’m curious what key things you all are teaching in science and history! Also interested to know what chapter books you read together as a class.

editing to add: these comments are absurd. My children are very well socialized, are in lots of enrichment classes, learn things they don’t want to learn all the time (bc every kid loves learning multiplication, right?!) and are constantly exposed to outside influences and adults. We have access to the states “I-can” statements but many of them give a general overview as opposed to a specific lesson. I like hearing from teachers instead of reading bullet points on a paper. It seems half of the parents in our co-op were educators themselves or are married to educators. Every single educator I know has actively encouraged me to homeschool. Also, not that it’s ANY of your business but I have a child with a rare genetic disorder. He is on oxygen and has a feeding tube. Homeschooling allows us to protect him during viral outbreaks and flu season.
