What are my chances? | Rising Junior

Hello everyone. I'm currently living in Bulgaria, but I was born in and maintain my permanent address in Baltimore, Maryland (which I've heard is quite competitive when it comes to nominations).

I'm studying at one of the most rigorous and prestigious high schools in Bulgaria, and one of the strongest in this region of Europe. I currently have a 4.0 unweighted GPA and am projected to score between 1520–1560 on the SAT this August. I haven't taken any AP classes yet, but I definitely will this coming year. I've also received the school's highest academic achievement award both years I've attended.

Leadership-wise, I've been involved in several activities. I'm the president of the automotive and racing club, where I organized an intra-school karting championship with 30 participants and continue to organize meetings and events. This upcoming year, I'm planning to expand the championship to include multiple high schools across the capital city.

I also founded and serve as president of the aviation club, where I organize trips to the city's pilot training center, advise students on aviation career opportunities, and coordinate similar events. In addition, I was the head event organizer of a charity and volunteering club with over 100 members before being elected president two months ago. In that role, I've organized fundraisers, book donation drives, collaborations with Caritas, and other community service initiatives.

Finally, I founded and lead a sports team of nine members focused on cross-country biking and running, with the goal of competing in a major ultra-marathon event involving up to 60 miles of biking and/or running. I'm also attending the Leadership Initiatives National Security and Anti-Terrorism Summer Program, where I'll be working alongside peers, an anti-terrorism council, and government agencies to research and develop policy recommendations related to the threat posed by Boko Haram in Africa, which could possibly get implemented.

Athletics-wise, I compete professionally in ROTAX karting at both the national and international levels and have earned multiple podium finishes. It's essentially the highest level of motorsport available to someone my age within my budget. I also race motorcycles on track, where I've won numerous races and am currently on track to finish as either champion or vice champion this season. If all goes well, I should also become the first-ever U18 finisher of the duathlon division of the ultra-marathon I mentioned earlier, an event that attracts thousands of participants across all categories. As for the CFA, I'm currently around the average values listed by USAFA and working to improve in every area.

Overall, I feel good about my progress, but at the same time I often wonder whether I'm doing enough. I'd appreciate any thoughts or feedback.

How is my application looking? (rising Junior)

Hello everyone. I'm living in Bulgaria, but was born and have my permanent address in Baltimore, Maryland (which I hear is quite competitive in regards to nominations).

I'm studying at the most rigorous and prestigious high school in Bulgaria and likely this region of Europe. I have an unweighted GPA of 4.0 and am projected to score a 1520-1560 on the SAT this August. Haven't taken AP classes yet, but I definitely will this year. I've gotten the highest award for academic achievements both years at the school.

Leadership wise, I've got a few things. I'm the president of the automotive and racing club, where I organized a intraschool karting championship of 30 participants and organise other meetings and events as well. I'm planning to make the championship between multiple high schools in the capital city this upcoming year. I also started and am the president of the aviation club, where I organise trips to the city's pilot training center, advise on career opportunities, and organise other similar events. I was also the head event organizer (got bumped up to president 2 months ago) of a charity and volunteering club with 100+ members, where I already organized fundraisers, book donation, collaborations with Caritas (global charity), etc. Finally, I founded and am the leader of a sports team of 9 members for cross country biking and running that focuses on one major ultra marathon event (60 miles biking and/or running). I'm also attending a summer leadership program, where I'll be working with an anti-terrorism council and government agencies to craft a plan to deal with an element of Boko Haram in Africa.

Athletics wise, I race karts (ROTAX, you can search it up if interested) professionally at both a national and international level and have been on the podium multiple times. The peak of Motorsport for someone my age with my budget. I also race motorbikes on track, where I've won many races and will be either champion or vice champion this year. If everything goes well, I should also be the first ever U18 finisher of the duathlon event of the ultra marathon I mentioned earlier (which is an event that gets thousands of participants across all classes). In terms of the CFA, I'm currently at the average values listed by USAFA and working to improve all.

I feel quite well with my current progress, but at the same time often have the thought that I'm not doing enough. All thoughts are appreciated.

Tips for Barcelona GP GA

Hello, tomorrow and on Sunday I'll be at the Barcelona GP with a general admissions ticket. I'm planning to watch from the turn 4 area.

It will be my first ever GP. I'd like to go very early and wait for the drivers with the hopes one stops for a signature at the paddock entrance. Where do the drivers enter from at Barcelona?

Also, since I'd like to be a part of the track invasion, how do i get from the area on the inside of turn 4 to the pit entry part of the straight (the gate is there)?

Any other random tips for a first timer are appreciated
