FPL's highest scorer and now the POTM! Ladies and gentlemen, Pascal Gross.

Still not even in 30% of teams.

No fixture is a bad fixture for this type of player.

On corners, direct FK's, pens, plays 90 mins.

The price of a budget mid.

The perfect FPL player.

Gvardiol in training. (Official Man City video)

He scored that header too.

Seems he is over his knock and should be okay for the weekend. Also in the video was Cherki, Foden, Haaland and Semenyo.

3ATB could be (Carrick's) Man Utd Kryptonite.

>Hull played with a back five, where the wing-backs stretched the width of the pitch to then put dangerous crosses into the box. That approach had already proved problematic for Carrick’s team.

>Milan used a similar system last weekend in their 4-2 friendly win over United, when quick switches of play, mainly to the right flank, proved effective. Wrexham won their pre-season game 1-0 using wing-backs — their goal coming from a low cross from left to right with a man free at the far post.

>More pertinently, Leeds United operated in the same formation in their 2-1 victory at Old Trafford in April, attacking down the sides and firing over crosses.

>NYTimes.

Now there is the possibly of Ipswich lining up with Diop, O Shea and Greaves at CB with Davis and another at wing backs. Packing the midfield with 4 tough to break down CM's and leaving a lone counter attacker up front.

Are you confident about your Bruno Fernandes captaincy?

Is this the first Team of the Week without a single player over 10% owned?

Martin was much lower owned at deadline too, his numbers now are twice what it was.

Of the players in this team, I can only see 2 getting over 120 pts.

Bruno Fernandes hasn't scored or assisted in the opening game of the season in 2022–23, 2023–24, 2024–25, 2025–26, or 2026–27!

5 seasons on the bounce since he scored an opening day hat trick against Leeds in an Ole team where his strengths were magnified and he was young.

It takes a brave and bias Manchester United loving FPL manager to captain him this week.

It can only get better.

Mikel Arteta is the only manager in the Premier League to WIN the Premier League.

I think this auspicious fact is going un-noticed.

He is the only manager who knows how to get it done. He is the only manager in the league to win a trophy of note. Ever.

This is the beginning of Arsenal's dynasty like Man City's in the 2010's and Man Utd in the 90's and early 2000's.

Haaland back in Manchester.

Probably not training yet. Can't see him starting in the Community Shield.

But a couple training sessions before GW1 and he can easily start, if he stayed in shape.

Dominik Szoboszlai is the most obvious trap I've ever seen.

  1. He is a glorified DM who people are expecting to have a floor of 4 because he is expected to hit defcon every week. Get VVD for 0.5M less.
  2. He is on pens**. There is no doubt in my mind, Isak will have pens once he is on the field.**
  3. He is on direct Freekicks. Good luck getting these totally random opportunities.

Liverpool have great fixtures and Szobo is the ultimate coverage pick because people are too uncomfortable to invest in Isak and too cheap to go up 0.5M to Wirtz.

Szobo will be the first mass owned player to drop when Semenyo, Cunha, Foden, Saka, Palmer, Rogers and Wirtz all pop off while Sexy boy Dom gets, 2,2,5,4,2,2, in his first set of games.
