Odered a pair of the Leatherman raptor rescue shears, just curious how they're holding up for anyone else using them ? Are they actually better and stronger then standard shears ? Mine havent arrived yet but im excited to give them a go.
Hey! Has anyone placed a seacan on their land and had it wired to the grid? What was the process like and what did you need? I have NS power saying I can drop it in one spot BUT online bylaws seem to say it can't be put near the front of my property and only if I cut a man door. For some back information it wouldn't be an eye sore, its new, clean, likely have a small nice deck and would be level as it will actually be a sterile lab space for a farm.

UPDATE! An amazing human at the baddeck clinic is going to give it a try! 🙌 Anyone have any idea other then island vet hospital with a poultry vet? Or even one that will just try to help i will pay even for someone to just try. Their doctor is off until Monday. Ive got a blind house duck with an open wound in need of stitches immediately. Willing to go anywhere on the island im near north sydney and have already tried as far as canso. At this point if we can't find a vet I'd take a medic with suture experience.
Hey everyone last week I was accepted to join my local volunteer department. I'm currently just waiting to go do my gear fitting then ill be basically dropped right in. Any advice for that first day? For a bit of back story I joined because a couple years ago I lost 2 family members in a very bad local flood here in NS, I've never felt so useless in my life as I did that week. Something in my brain broke, I joined the gym, lost over 120lbs, and now here I am. It took longer then I wanted to be physically ready but I made it.

Just curious if any of my pups litter mates are on the island ? I know one is for sure, a girl I believe. He's from coastal k9 and a bunch of his siblings were at an adoption event at global Pet Foods about 7 weeks ago. If you have one, how are they doing ? I personally didnt even have to house train Tucker, I know he was kept at a foster not the shelter so whoever had him put in some work! He's in a medical service dog training program and doing amazing so don't underestimate the potential of this litter!
3 year old female GSD mixed with something? Or maybe a pure with breed standards different from here in Canada? I fear it could be malinois in there like the one in the Google Pic.
Is there any brain TBI support groups or centers on the island ? Ive looked around online but can't find anything closer then Burnside.
