My Iranian Jewish great-grandparents. Only young photo left.
Hey everyone,
This is a incredibly rare photo of my great-grandpa (19) and great-grandma (25). They were Jewish and fled Iran right after the empire collapsed and right before WWII. Because it was so dangerous and they were terrified of being tracked down, they burned all of their old photos before leaving.
This is one of only two photos that exist of them young in America. Even after they settled down, they were too afraid to take pictures for years because they thought the British army would find them.
I tried using an AI tool to colorize and clean it up, but it completely messed up the hands. In the original, my great-grandma has her hands resting naturally on top of my great-grandpa's hands.
What I’m looking for:
A high-quality restoration and colorization that preserves their actual features without looking like a plastic AI filter.
The frame cropped out.
The hands fixed accurately based on the original photo, rather than the weird AI-generated fingers.
