Hi there, I am looking for an 1 bed/1-2 bath apartment in Waterloo. I will be relocating from out of state. Looking for recommendations and my budget is under $1600.

Advice: Moving to Independence (pt. 2)

I posted a few weeks ago about a job opportunity in Independence and looking for where to live.

So I got the job and it sounds like a great opportunity to not pass up. After further thinking, I am potentially thinking of relocating to Waterloo since the commute isn’t that bad and appears to be cheaper than Cedar Falls. I am looking for apartment recs or areas to avoid in Waterloo. I am looking for a 1bed apartment with good amenities and my budget is ~$1,600.

Any recs are greatly appreciated!

Moving to Independence, IA in my mid-20s? Looking for advice

I'm a Latina in my mid-20s from Georgia and am interviewing for a fully in-office position in Independence, IA. I'm willing to commute up to an hour if it means living in an area with more things to do, and a larger young professional population.

Would you recommend living in Independence, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Marion, or somewhere else nearby?

Thanks! 😊

This seems to be a varying answer for many folks, but for any post-MPH grads who have full time jobs now in public health/clinical research/private industry, did you keep your resume to 1 page or 2 pages?
