Are Iowans aware that AIRPAC, a major Israeli Pac, is a aggressor against the Democratic Party

Are Iowans aware that AIRPAC, a major Israeli pac is an aggressor against the democratic party and a major actor in attempting to influence our elections? So the question is do Turek or Wahls accept AIRPAC, Schumer’s fist pounding in defense of Israel in the Senate, defense of the Israeli government disrespect for the holocaust memory and continued aggressiveness in the Middle East and our refusal to stop it? In these two gentlemen‘s ads I’ve heard almost nothing about how they feel about the Israeli government’s refuse all to listen to the US and continue to disrupt our election

Need someone to help untangle our business software setup in Iowa?

hey everyone, looking for some advice before I hire anyone

I run a small home care agency in Iowa We’ve been around for about 6 years, and right now we use a mix of tools for scheduling, client notes, billing, staff hours, and documents

each tool kind of works on its own, but together it’s a mess. My office manager spends too much time copying info from one place to another, and small mistakes keep showing up. wrong visit times, missing notes, invoices needing double checks, stuff like that.

I’m not even sure if we need new software or if the current tools just need to be set up better.

so I’m looking for a US based company that provides software consulting services (Iowa preferred for face-to-face possible meetings)

Would appreciate any help, folks

$9 MILLION blunder in Josh Turek campaign

Ryan Grim makes this extra confusing, but starts to make some sense after 4 minutes in.

Anyways, that Turek and Chuck Schumer support each other tells me that Wahls is the one to support. Beware the dark money backing Turek.

Bear with me... I was just thinking how nobody in my life has ever said, "Man, you know what would be amazing right now? German food!" Mexican, sushi, Chinese, Lebanese, Bosnian, Viet, sure. But then I realized...

Iowa food basically *is* German food. Schnitzel? I feel like what I consider normal every day iowa food is not just Iowan, but the vestiges of European settlers and their food traditions. Of course no one would ever say, do you wanna get some German or Scandinavian food, because it IS the food we eat all the time, more or less. It is the given, the standard.

Iowa's famous breaded pork tenderloins? German schnitzel. Literally.

Potatoes, casseroles, sausage, deer salami... more or less German.

Also Scandinavian food culture is still present. Meat and potatoes. River fish, especially on Fridays during lent.

I feel like what I've always just considered "normal iowa food" is basically german/Scandinavian food.

Go to any small town bar that serves food, and you'll find what is basically German influenced food. Frittered shit. Onions and pork and potatoes and cheese.

Did doctors ask for this? Because now we all need to ask our doctors for a official, notorized statement detailing what their beliefs are and what services they won't provide.

Dubuque Teacher Charged With Possession of CSA Materials

A teacher at Hempstead High School in Dubuque was charged with creating and possessing CSA materials.

>Andrew Robert Roos, 35, was charged with six counts in an indictment unsealed in United States District Court in Cedar Rapids. The indictment alleges that over several years, Roos tried to persuade and entice minors to engage in sexually explicit conduct to produce visual depictions of that conduct.

>The charges also allege he distributed, transported, received and possessed child pornography. If convicted on all charges, Roos faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison.

>He could face up to 120 years in prison and supervised release for life following any imprisonment. Roos is set to appear in federal court in Cedar Rapids for an arraignment Friday.

His dad also taught at the school for over 20 years and was still teaching up until he passed from cancer in 2004. His dad was a very popular teacher and I had him as one of my teachers. Andrew deserves to be punished but at the same time I feel bad for his parents because of the shadow he cast on their legacies.

I've been out here riding dirty with my PUR filter

Found this in the paperwork for my new PUR faucet filter. Evidently the retailer and purchaser have to fill out this portion to be filed by the seller. Who knew that was a thing? Has anyone actually done this?

Where is Glendale, Iowa located?

I'm doing some Ancestry stuff and came across a group of people from Glendale, Iowa. Google basically says it doesn't exist, but upon more specific searches it says it's an unincorporated town in either Marion or Hamilton County.

The people born in Glendale seem to have Jefferson County as a commonality, which is at least an hour away from either of the two options.

Are there any documents or records that specifically state the county than Glendale is/was part of? This feels like one of the simplest, dumbest information gaps I've come across yet.

Meta layoffs and their property tax break

I’m assuming at least some folks in Altoona were laid off yesterday with Meta’s 8,000 personnel cut. I’m sorry if you’re reading this and one of them was you.

From what I understand, Meta got a property tax break until 2034 and yet presumably there are now probably several high-paying jobs that have been eliminated- reducing the economic value in and around the area.

Curious if anyone has any more information on this subject.
