I wanted to share this photo because I think it's a good reminder that even when things look dead or beyond saving, life has a way of finding a path forward.

These little pups are growing right out of what looks like old, dead cactus skeleton. It's something I never get tired of seeing. Nature has a way of reminding us that new beginnings can come from the most unexpected places.

I know the economy has been tough for a lot of people lately, and many of us are dealing with challenges that aren't always visible. I hope this picture brings a little encouragement. Keep going. Better days can grow from difficult seasons, just like these pups.

Also, sorry if some of these plants look familiar—I know I've shared a few of them multiple times. They're some of my favorites, and I love documenting how they continue to change and grow.

One-month update:

I wanted to share a little more information since a lot of people were curious about this plant.

I actually picked it up from a local nursery. According to the nursery owner, this clone was brought over from Jalisco, Mexico, about 20 years ago.

I thought that was a pretty cool bit of provenance and wanted to share it with everyone. Thanks again for all the discussion and information on the original post—it was great reading everyone's thoughts!
