This is my chameleon pip and I just got some new curtains which he loves climbing on he's never really enjoyed hanging out outside of his cage until suddenly he is now since I got the curtains now he eats then bask then runs to the bottom of the cage where I normally open it for him to look around and he immediately trys to get to the curtains I offer him a hand which he has never taken until now and he climbs onto them as I watch to make sure he doesn't hurt himself then he runs to the window and sits by it I want to make sure this is normal and his basking spot or something isn't wrong he's eating drinking moving around tight grip and happy colors I just don't know what this means- if you couldn't tell I'm a very anxious and worried chameleon owner 😅

This is my veiled chameleon Pip he's overall healthy eating drinking good poops basking moving open eyes good strength no wheezing weird breathing or mucus and he was sitting under the basking lamp with his mouth open a little I checked the light temperature and saw it was a bit to hot and turned it off bit I wanted to make sure this was normal he stopped doing it now that the light is off and I will turn it back on very soon just as a new owner I'm still very anxious

My veiled boy pip is about to shed and has suddenly gotten very defensive and scared I've had him for one month and one week and the whole time I've had him he's never hissed at me puffed up sure but didn't really show his stress colors when i was around he hand feeds comes closer when I come over with crawl on me if I offer a treat but etc but all of that suddenly went ou the window when he got close to shedding he's already shed with me once before and was only slightly nervous not so angry and trying to hide this is normal right? He doesn't suddenly hate me right..? 💀

This is my 5 month old veiled chameleons cage, AND I CANT FREAKING FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THIS SMELL TO GO AWAY! 😭 I've had him for about a month now and have his cage all set up but one issue there's this musky wet smell and I don't know what it is I've wiped things down checked plants even taken out a few! (The reason why his cage looks so bare at the moment don't worry he does have more plants) but I just can't figure out what the smell is could someone help Or tell me what I should do-?

And yes I know some of my plants look rough I've just moved and haven't had much time to tend to them but working on them now 👍

My guy little guy thinks this thing is out to get him bit only when it's facing forward I feel bad using it close to him or letting him see it but I just need to make sure your basking spot is the right temperature man- 😭

My little guy is getting to hot! My AC is broken and it's too hot for him it's about 83-85 in his cage with the basking light off I have a fan near by for air flow and ice on top of his cage with a dripped but I can't get the heat down! He's opened his mouth a few times to cool down but it's not working and I'm panicking can someone tell me what's the best option?

This is my veiled chameleon Pip he's about fourish months old and I just got him from petsmart (yes I know it's frowned upon but I just couldn't leave him in such a small cage) he's my first chameleon and I've done lots of research but I'm worried about him like every new chameleon owner usually is he wasn't eating much the first few days which I know is normal and he ate a lot yesterday but he has been eating dirt ive been told it most likely means he's missing calcium and or vitamins I've been giving him a special powder made to give them vitamins and have been mixing a little calcium in it making sure I don't add to much though he seems overall healthy other then the dirt eating and I haven't seen his poop which it's a big cage with lots of plants so I don't immediately expect to see it but I just wanted to ask for others opinions and yes he is mad in this picture because I had just got something off his face with a little water but he's not normally always puffed up he's been moving around basking drinking eating gripping good His eyes look good but I'm just worried about every little thing I do could someone please let me know if he looks healthy? Or anything I could do to stop or get him to stop eating dirt and I did put rocks on top of the dirt though he found a tiny rock in the dirt and ate it and now that's freaking me out too! please someone help!

I'm about to move and have my own room and this is my chameleon Pip! And I'm planing on kinda adding things to my room so he can roam around every so often. As long as he enjoys it that is. But I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas to what I should add in my room for him to hang out with me?

My veiled chameleon keeps eating dirt! This is pip I just got him three days ago and he seems healthy eating (has only eaten two bugs since I got him I believe it'd because of the change in hones) drinking gripping good moving around a lot no stress colors etc although he's been eating dirt and has since I got him I got him from petsmart yes I know it's frowned upon but I couldn't leave him in that tiny cage he grabbed a bug the other day and spit it back out but I believe it may have been to big? I have all the lighting and misting I was told to get big 28×48 cage good sized feeders he's also eating some of his plants which are safe for him but he's just been eating dirt what can I do?

My sweet baby boy was taken away from me today. He's been sick for weeks now and I knew it was coming but still, it didn't make the heartbreak any lighter. There wasn't a day he wasn't loved or thought about, I love you my baby boy.
