Double Standards (Advanced Movement)

How come when CoD changed and added advanced movement, people fought back against it, and the devs listened in later entries, but Halo, it's the opposite, people keep praising it, even though it's doing massively worse, and if anybody says anything negative they get bombed with people defending it? and the devs instead of fixing it keep doubling down or trying to force it to work. Do you guys not want Halo to be successful or popular again?

Arena FPS / Rogulike Hyrbid?

I'm propably gonna get flak for this (haha pun intended.) but here me out, imagine a base game of 10-12 really good maps, for dueling, ctf, strict and balanced weapons, etc. but the rest of the game is ai generated/roguelike, following strict guidelines, where weapons, maps, etc. for that match are rng (What I mean is, for that specific match the whole time, so a shotgun could end up being, a flak style weapon, quad ssg, autoshotgun, etc.), but still follow balancing rules. It would make every match fresh and interesting & you wouldn't have to worry about that one guy who's been playing Quake/Unreal Tournament for 20+ years memorizing the maps, it would still take skill cuz once they learn the current map, spawns, powerups, etc. they would still win against people who don't have those skills. Thoughts or am I just being an idiot?

No Fun Either Way!

Either pay full price for a modern game, or wait for it to go on sale, just so months or even a year later, everyone has better stuff than you, putting you at a clear disadvantage or go back and play older fair games, where people have played for 3000 hours & get shit on over and over and learn nothing. Starting to think pvp just isn't for me, not like I'm bad at them, but when it comes to those opposite ends both fucking suck, why can't there be a skillfull and fair multiplayer game that has millions of players, where you run around and shoot eachother and whoever has better aim/movement wins. There always has to be some caveat or bs to ruin the game and make it suck balls. lol

Place To Go For Noobs/Less Skilled Players?

I have like 600+ hours in Quake Live for example, but never learned anything all I did was die alot over and over, because most of it was ffa on tiny maps with 12+ players, in arena shooters in general it seems there isn't really a place to go for new players/bad players. No discord, no specific servers, etc. Anyone know of any, game specific is fine, but hoping, there is more than one game with this option. I love this style of game and hate how unfair/broken most modern games are, but anything that is fair/equal starts is flooded with only vets/tryhards.

Arcade Shooters?

I'm curious what ya'll think of games like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, TimeSplitters, Etc. I know they aren't arena shooters, because you can't strafe jump or wall dash/go 200miles per hour, but it still has all the other things that make arena shooters so fun/great, map control, timing of items, armor, health, etc. with added bonus of a variety of weapons, most arena shooters only have like 6-10 weapons, but these kind of games sometimes have up to 30 if not more, especially timesplitters hehe. Thoughts?
