Advice for a beginner on fighting Vlandia
So to give a bit of context after conquering all of Khuzait for the southern empire and amassing almost 3 million gold I got bored and decided to return to my character’s homeland of Battania to start my own kingdom. I then proceeded to abandon all of my fiefs, run halfway around the world, and right as I was beginning to enact my carefully thought out and meticulously crafted plan I got hit with a sledge hammer to the balls. The rebel faction who I had planned to conquer and steal their city from got retaken by the Battanians right as I got there. As any sane and rational person would I then proceeded to declare war on the strongest faction in the game (Vlandia) under the assumption that me and Battania were going to fight side by side taking back our home from them. They then immediately sued for peace and I was left fighting Vlandia alone.
As it stands, on a good day I can amass an army of about 650 strong. Now that isn’t too bad considering it’s just me and a few companions. I am easily able to defend the single town and castle I sniped from Vlandia at the start of this war. The problem is that I’m unable to take any more territory before their death stack arrives and kicks my shit in along with their lesser lords. Currently we’re at an eternal impasse where all I can do is steal lesser lords and farm influence to get laws and they just hammer my fortress over and over.
