Steelers rookie Max Iheanachor went from playing soccer goalie to becoming an NFL first round pick in only a few years.

Born in Nigeria, Iheanachor moved to the United States at 13 and played soccer and basketball throughout high school without ever playing football. Max did not try football until junior college in 2021, eventually becoming an All-Big 12 tackle at Arizona State before being selected 21st overall in the 2026 NFL Draft.
