Did Debra make Scott and Walter pitch Kart Attack knowing full well she would say no?

It seems like she already had her mind made up about Go Karts so why did she make them waste their time doing a presentation if she already knew she wouldn’t let Ray invest? I don’t know why this plot point bothers me so much but it does. 🤣 It didn’t seem like a bad business idea at all and he said Walter’s dad owned an amusement park and Scott is an engineer.

Amy’s Shower

Debra’s reaction to Marie making appetizers is so tacky and classless. She completely ruined Amy’s shower. Marie is the mother in law and she should have been involved. And besides what is better as a shower appetizer: Pizza Bagels or Prosciutto e Melone?

—— some other thoughts:

But besides that Patricia Heaton’s acting at the jail was hilarious 🤣 when she wipes her snot and says “are you happy I’m an animal!”

Also…

If you kinda think about it poor Robert and Amy…

Ray ruined their invitations
Debra ruined Amy’s shower
Ray ruined Robert’s bachelor part(ies)
Marie ruined their wedding
THEN Frank and Marie took back the house they gave them.

They sure had it rough!! 😆

So we all agree Robert was secretly in love with Debra, right?

So many examples in the series to support this, but the episode I’m watching right now is “The Thought That Counts” where Robert remembers very specific details about Debra like her favorite book “To Kill a Mockingbird” and where she used to spend her summers (“Lake Saugatuck”) and then his outburst “it was MEEEEE”

Agree? What other examples?

Debra undermining Ray’s judge of character or gut feeling

I can think of 4 examples where Debra completely dismisses his concerns either about someone or something — but he turns out to be right in the end.

- Peggy the Cookie Lady
- The Annoying Kid
- The Frog Lady
- When Ray gets sneezed on and doesn’t feel right

What other examples are there?

Comparing Ray Romano’s acting to Jerry Seinfeld’s

Both were stand up comedians who got their own show. Jerry in my opinion is not a great actor, he is very funny (and I love Seinfeld as a show) but he kind of delivers his lines all the same. You catch him smirking a lot as well.

Ray Romano though - I am actually incredibly impressed that even though he just came from the world of standup that he would become such a convincing actor. So much so that he went on to do other acting roles later on.

PLEASE help me find this MADtv sketch - Jessica at Office Supply Depot?

Does anyone remember a MADtv sketch that took place in an office supply store with a terrible employee named Jessica (played by a man in a wig, pretending to be a woman)?

The store was called “Office Supply Depot,” or maybe “Desk Supply Depot”?

Details I remember:

Her boss or manager was named Darrell or maybe Darryl.

One customer asked where the printer cartridges were, and Jessica said something like:

“They’re next to the printers.”

Then the customer asked where the printers were, and Jessica said:

“Uhhh Next to the printer cartridges??? Omg”

Another part I remember is the boss confronting Jessica because she had punched something like 96 hours on her timesheet.

Jessica says something like:

“Do you know where I was every minute?” And he tells her the weren’t even open that many hours 😆

And then she loses her mind and starts shooting staples at everyone. It was hilarious but I can’t find it anywhere.

I’m trying to find the episode, sketch title, or any clip of it. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
