Can you get Copilot seats through Microsoft partner center?

Is it possible to get Copilot licenses through partner center or is this not a benefit for everyone? We have several other licenses under the Benefits>Cloud Services area, but I'm not sure if we need to do an add on or how it works to get Copilot.

What hypervisor are you using in 2026?

I have a few server deployments coming up where the customer was previously on a perpetual VMware plan, but that is long gone. Curious if anyone is still using VMware or if it's too expensive. I've read is ~$350/core/year but don't have confirmed pricing. I've done a Proxmox deployment before as well which was free but personally prefer VMware UI and want to do right by the customers (especially if they're willing to pay).

What are you using for new server deployments this year? Those who are using VMware, what are your licensing costs looking like?

Any reason to leave Exchange server running if mailboxes are migrated?

We have an Exchange 2016 on prem server that has had all user and shared mailboxes migrated to the cloud. At this point, I'm not sure if there is any reason to leave it running other than "just in case" something breaks by shutting it down. Mail flow is all pointed to EXO, public folders have been migrated as well. The server does integrate with an AD environment, so that is the only connection it still has, as far as I know. The HCW is still configured but can probably be disabled since mail flow is fully through EXO.

Any reason to keep the server running at this point? Would there be any noticeable disruption if it were shut down since there is no mail flow going through it?

Network guys, what's in your daily carry?

I'm trying to get more into networking and i'm running into situations where I have to troubleshoot more and more. I think my bag is limiting me to what I can do and how efficiently I can do it.

So, i'm turning to the network experts, what are your "must haves" for troubleshooting network issues?

Bonus points if you link to the product.

Posters and Decorations for IT office

I need to spruce up my office. Does anyone know of any good non-generic sites where you can find cool technology artwork or props? Amazon and Etsy seemed very limited at first glance.

Bonus points if you share your unique decorations!

Where are you buying SQL server standard 22 licenses?

I can't seem to find them in our usual Msft vendor, is a place like Trusted Tech safe? I've bought licenses from them before, but they were cheaper ones. I've noticed they are a lot cheaper than buying direct from Msft.

How does your MSP stand out from others?

Lately I've been trying to see how we can differentiate from our competitors who sometimes are larger, and more known. Being a smaller MSP, you can lean on being more responsive than larger MSPs, but I don't think new prospects actually care about response times as long as they are reasonable. I think things that stick out to new prospects are your examples of your work, referrals and reviews, etc.

How does your MSP stand out from other competitors?

Upgrading servers in 2026

So if you are a 'cloud only' MSP then this post won't pertain to you, but for those of you who have on-prem servers that are reaching EOL, how are you dealing with the current prices? We just built out a server for a customer, and the price was >$40k. Compare this to when they last bought a server it was around $20k. Granted, it's been 5+ years, but I'm kind of scared to even present this to them. Mind you, this is before labor, licensing, etc.

How are you handling the price hikes?

Moving to the cloud is unfortunately not always an option and this is one of those cases where there is too much to move for it to make sense.

Apple mail not connecting to server after enabling MFA

Recently rolled out MFA at an organization on a per user basis and i've had issues with multiple Apple mail users getting a message saying that it can't connect to server. This is not instant, and when I first set them up it was working fine, but then several hours later I hear from them.

This doesn't seem widespread but has happened to at least 3-4 users. On my own 'test' account I don't have the issue.

Has anyone ran into this, and what was the fix? I am tempted to tell them all to install Outlook but want to see if there's a 'quick fix' for this first.

Got scan to email working with oauth2 but now fax to email is not working

Well, if you saw my last post I was able to figure out a weird scan to email issue that ended up being the gateway address set incorrectly on the copier (RICOH IMC4500) but now the same copier is not emailing faxes, but only printing them.

The error code is: 14-08 internet fax / email transmission

Message of Network communication has failed.

I'm fairly new to fax to email so hoping I can get some guidance on why this is still failing. I did review that fax forwarding and such is set up on the printer.

TIA

Scan to email using oauth2.0 works on one Ricoh printer but not another same network

Hoping to get some guidance on an odd issue. I have 2 of the same Ricoh IMC4500 printers, one was behind on firmware but has since been updated to allow for oauth2.0. I configured it on one copier without any issues, but on the other one that was recently updated, it hangs when i click on 'start authentication' and then after a minute or so it times out saying could not start authentication.

I've tried everything I can think of, verified settings are the same, dns, etc.

Anything else it could be, or is this device just cooked?

What do you do for clients that want to move 100% cloud?

We are slowly getting some customers that are asking what it would take and look like to go fully cloud based. This is usually due to certain services they used on premise becoming more and more cloud based, so now they are asking to move their remaining servers to the cloud to reduce overhead like Backups, Antivirus, etc.

I'm not new to cloud technologies like OneDrive, Sharepoint, etc. but I am new to moving entire servers over to Microsoft or AWS data centers and then setting up access for SMBs.

Does your MSP do this, and if so, what does it look like? I'm guessing the quotes would get them to 'nope' out of it, but I'm not even sure where to start to get those quotes.

I am running a hybrid set up but all mailboxes have been moved to the cloud. I still have my spam filter pointing at the on-prem server, and HCW is still set up. So I believe my current inbound mail flow is: Internet > Spam Filter > On prem server > 365 mailboxes

I'd like to eliminate the on prem hop as it seems unnecessary at this point, but want to make sure my process is accurate for doing so.

Do i just need to update my spam filter to point at 365 instead of on-prem, and then enable the Exchange connectors associated with that, and disabled the on-prem exchange connectors? Or do I need to also go into the HCW and turn that off entirely?

Assuming I still had a mailbox on prem, could i adjust my MX/Spam filter records to point to 365, but still leave the hybrid setup for any mailboxes that require on prem routing?

TIA.
