A win. It's true... American Express gives 3 times a limit's increase

So I've had my one and only American Express credit card since mid-March 2026. The Blue Cash Everyday card with a $1,000 limit. My first-ever American Express credit card. Last month, I tried to request an increase online to no avail, probably even the month before that also to no avail. So I told myself, "I truly believe what that other Reddit user somewhere on here said about American Express giving increases (3 times the limit) on credit limits every 6 months. I'll wait and try again in October." So I tried today, and bam, I was given 3 times my original credit limit, even though I requested $4,000. I don't know what I was thinking, because that's 4 times the limit, not 3. I input the request amount wrong on the request an increase form. $1,000 times 3 is more like it. I then hit the submit button and was bumped up to $3,000 with a $2,000 increase from the $1,000 starting limit. I'm now at a $3,000 credit limit on my American Express Blue Cash Everyday credit card. I'm very thankful. If I'm still here in 6 months and if I request another increase, it's very likely that it could very well jump up 3 times that to $9,000. Thank you American Express.

So I just requested a credit for the massive nationwide July 27th outage...

By asking for a live agent via the online chat at Metro by T Mobile. And I only end up receiving a credit of $2 and some change towards my next bill. Smh. From an unknown and unusual outage in which my service was completely disrupted where I couldn't receive or make any phone calls, Internet was down, and I couldn't send or receive any texts, for several hours. $2 and some change. Smh. Terrible. I expected at the very least, $5.

As of 8:36 PM in the NY Tri-state area...

My service was back on and has been on since then. I finally turned off my WiFi. I praise God. End Times are definitely here. I really believe this was just a taste of what is to come.

So I just lost my color bomb streak after...

Spending $8 and change on 50 gold bars in Candy Crush Saga because after the transaction, it didn't bring me back to where I left off in the game. Smh. Mind you, I spent at least $40 so far on this app. Candy Crush Saga is one of my favorite offers and because there are no ads. Overall, I'm still very satisfied with the offer and the game.

I didn't expect this much of an increase on my Amazon Prime Visa credit card

I'm thankful. I expected between $500 and $1,000 more, and no more than that. I like checking for credit limit increases.

Wow. Synchrony Bank has some 140 credit cards, and they actually show credit limits...

They have pre-qualified app forms online. I didn't select and preapply for all 140 of their cards (max pre-qualifications on their website is 4 a day anyway), but of the 3 I preapplied for, I was pre-qualified for all of them and was shown credit limits. They were My Bob's credit card, Synchrony Luxury credit card, and the Pandora credit card. I have enough credit cards (7, a couple of them just opened not even 2 months ago), so I was just curious. I did not go forward with any of the applications. :) I know pre-qualifications aren't the same as pre-approvals, but just putting this info out there. I think it's still pretty cool.

Don't get me wrong. I love getting pre-approved offers, but this one is beyond wild. I already have SEVEN credit cards, two of which I opened last month. And I just began building my credit in June 2024. I am DONE opening anymore credit cards for now.
