Souvenir - knives souvenir

Hi! Whenever I travel, I like to bring home a unique, locally made souvenir — preferably something useful that I’ll actually use and that reminds me of the trip.

Ex: in Borneo I bought some locally handmade wooden cutting boards from a local craftsmen.

I know Nepal has a strong kukri-making tradition, but a kukri isn’t exactly something I can use every day back home in Belgium. 😄

So I’m wondering: does anyone know a shop or craftsman in Nepal who makes handmade kitchen knives? Ideally something with a traditional/local touch, perhaps using local wood such as sal or rosewood for the handle.

I’d much rather buy something genuinely handmade and locally made than a generic tourist souvenir. Any recommendations or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
