Never thought I'd meet Marques this morning

Funny little story TLDR at the end

I was on the way to the barber shop this morning and was listening to the new Eclipse Episode of Waveform and heard Marques say he was going to be in Ireland this week for a frisbee tournament and I was like "oh no way" I figured it would be up in Dublin which is like 3 hours away so I thought I wouldn't meet him but when I checked where the tournament was it was only 30 mins from the barber shop.

So I went down, landed into the tournament which was actually a club world championship that was huge and filled with teams from countries all over the world. I never watched Ultimate Frisbee before but it was super cool to see and funny that it was in Ireland as it's not a super popular sport here. Then sure enough I saw Marques queuing for the food truck and popped over and chatted to him for a minute and got a photo. Super nice guy, and what a crazy unexpected way to spend my day.

Flying Tomorrow Morning, Would love some support

I love giving advice and stats out as much as I can on this subreddit but my fear is still there especially when it’s a last minute trip that I wasn’t expecting to go to a funeral.

Turbulence is my big fear despite knowing that it’s safe and just uncomfortable.

Would love some kind words for tomorrow, im flying on FR2073 from Shannon to Girona and hopefully the skies are friendly to me

Why are Glory so soft?

When the war in Ukraine kicked off they pretty much kicked Vakhitov out of Glory (said it was payment issues, etc.).

Then after the whole UFC situation, they take him back (can magically pay him again) for a big main event vs Rico.

Now he’s fighting tonight and they won’t even put the flag next to his name. Everyone knows he’s from Russia. Why can’t they just respect him like everyone else and put the flag next to his name. It’s just a flag. In the UFC or MT organizations it’s not a problem so why is it such a big deal in Glory.
