Good afternoon everyone. The New Jersey Permit to Carry is available for current New Jersey Residents as well as all Non-Residents who currently possess a valid CCW for the state in which they reside in. This course does require drawing from concealment, you must have both general safety as well as operational knowledge of your firearm. We will cover the use of force guidelines, and the CCARE Protocol qualification, as outlined by the New Jersey State Police Firearms Safety & Awareness Interim Training For Private Citizens Concealed Carry. This course satisfies all training requirements for the New Jersey Permit to Carry.
PREREQUISITE:
Must be in possession of a current and valid CCW license for the state in which you reside in with the same name that matches on your New York State issued ID or driver's license.
Must be in possession of a pistol registered to you that is also on your NYC/NYS CCW license or other Out-of-State CCW
LENGTH OF COURSE:
Approximately 4 hours
REQUIRED MATERIALS:
Something to take down notes; either a notebook with a writing utensil or a laptop
A strong kydex IWB concealment holster for your firearm - ABSOLUTELY NO cross draw, OWB holsters, shoulder holsters, pocket holsters, sticky holsters, ankle holsters, or belly band holsters.
A minimum of 2 magazines
Magazine holders/pouches (preferred but not mandatory)
A loose fitting cover garment - we will be drawing from concealment, your garment should completely conceal your firearm in its entirety.
50 rounds of factory ammunition for your firearm (100 rounds is recommended in case of any malfunctions)
Sturdy belt
Proper eye and ear protection
Jeans or BDU style pants - ABSOLUTELY NO sweatpants, joggers, shorts, or open toed shoes.
