So clearly this whole nightmare process of being able to carry in this city has gotten me to worry about every little thing trying to stay within the rules.

If I send a slide out to be milled for an optic, is that considered a modification that licensing would need to be made aware of ? Logically I would of course say no since it’s not changing the serial number, caliber etc but you never know in this dumb city lol

Licensing doesn’t have a clue, I was transferred to a supervisor there who also had no idea and provided no help.

Additionally, if I were to purchase a second slide to do the milling on, it will now have mismatching serial numbers. I know federally that’s fine because only the frame serial number matters; was just trying to see if anyone here has any concrete information

Anyone sell a gun recently? I listed a few online but I can’t believe the red tape.

Handguns, you need a notorized bill of sale.
For rifles, I didn’t realize there’s a Social security section. How the heck am I going to get out of state buyers to fill that out along with their personal info. Even other in-state buyers.

It kind of forces you to sell to FFL’s only. Less hassle it seems.

With the recent ruling my question is Are hotels included in the ruling a they are private property used for public purposes?

Ok so about 2 weeks ago I was approved and sent my purchase order for my firearm. I’ve uploaded the docs and pics. How long before I actually have what I need to pick up my firearm?

One top of that.. Saturday night I said wth and applied for my shotgun/rifle permit. Submitted it around 11pm.. Monday morning I was approved. I was shocked thinking it was gonna take 7-8 months but no… with this said how long before I received that permit in the mail as well? Or does everything go on 1 permit.

Any input is appreciated.

Looking for an optometrist familiar with shooting that can work with me on proper eye protection and my prescription.

I submitted my CCW and R/S applications on Jan 11th, and fingerprinted on Feb 12th. I send an email every two weeks or so just to be proactive and see if I can get ahead of any possible delays or just get an update, have not heard anything back. Has anyone on a similar timeline heard or made any progress?

At Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office in Pittsburgh, PA. Just submitted my non-resident CCW application (I live in NYC). They didn't ask for my New York City concealed carry permit. Just my driver's license and $20 cash.

They took a photo of me and asked me to wait outside while they processed. 5 minutes later, they handed me a 5 year permit.

Easy peasy, the way it should be everywhere.

Has anyone ever bought and shipped them directly from the website or know of any dealers that carry them?

Magshack and Mecgar states no magazines over 10rds.

However, we cannot get more than 10 anyways.

Hello, I am helping someone who wants to learn firearms basics (safe handling, relevant laws, mechanics of firearms, how to shoot, etc.) They want to find a comprehensive class that is welcoming to absolute beginners, ideally somewhere in NYC or the metro area (they are on long island at the moment).

All we've found so far are the 18-hours CCW classes. Would you all say this is a good class to take or worth it, even if this person isn't necessarily interested in getting a CCW license? They are very new to guns, and I'm new to the area so I'm not sure where to send them. Any thoughts or ideas? Appreciate any suggestions - thank you!

Just got notice of disapproval for failure to provide disposition for 3 arrests. I went to 1PP to get a certificate of conduct before submitting my application, they said all I needed was this certificate and anything that I would need a disposition for, would show up on the back. Nothing showed, nonetheless I disclosed my arrests on both online application and the in person questionnaire and I still got denied. I submitted dispositions for my other arrests, information on a ticket in fighting, and still got denied. I tried reaching out to everyone through email, multiple times, from Hugh to Sandra to RS intake to see if anymore documentation was needed from me. Not even a “hello, f*** you”. Is it worth appealing? Who do I even reach out to? The arrests in question, are all dismissed and sealed no conviction.

My renewal is due in about a month and I can’t find a class in time. How long is the renewal process in general and will my license technically be void if the renewal goes past my expiration? Need some help if anyone has gone through this they only sent me my email a week ago.
