Really NYPD?

When I applied for my non resident CCW, I got to the section on the application about mental health.

I copied and pasted the two sections requesting a note and sent it to my treating psychiatrist

He wrote the note

Nowhere in the application did it say it must contain verbiage saying your psychiatrist agrees with your application (mine does)

Now I have to wait for my next appointment to get a new note

How often do people show up to court in Baltimore when they really need to show up in Towson? [MD]

Baltimore City and Baltimore County are two completely separate entities in Maryland (and they’re right next to each other)

Got me thinking, how often do people show up to Court in Baltimore when they really need to show up in Towson (the seat of Baltimore County)?

Who else is waiting for the “damage control” statement after reckless Ben’s video

It always seems when these places get caught doing something, they make a pathetic damage control statement

Who else is waiting for it?

Where can I find the spiciest food in Las Vegas?

I live in Utah and eat at authentic Thai restaurants and order everything authentically spicy (with a waiver) and also put ghost pepper sauce all over my food at home but it isn’t really that spicy to me.

Where can I find the spiciest food in Las Vegas? I’ll be passing through a few times over the next few months.

If you've been waiting a long time (over 6 months) for your permit, resident or non resident, please submit a report to the DOJ civil rights division

I have been waiting 8 months now for my non resident Rhode Island CCW permit. If you are in a similar position, please consider filing a report with the Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division (link below). I cannot promise anything will come of this, but considering the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department was put on notice for excessive wait times and has since corrected course, I think we can do the same.

In your report please include as many details as possible.

Government agencies not mailing to PO Boxes

I applied for and was approved for an add on firearms registration in Washington DC (I am a non resident)

I asked that the registration card be mailed to my PO Box only to be told “we do not mail to PO Boxes”

I then tried to inform them that there are places in America where you do not receive mail service at your house (ie Lenni PA, Caliente NV, Ash Fork AZ) to no avail.

Any advice?

To that biker on foothill earlier today 7/10/2026

I get it. Your buddy got cut off because he entered my blind spot as I was trying to enter the turn lane. It was a mistake this happens all the time.

Why did you then find it necessary to turn around, follow me, and then smash my mirror?

Like wtf…

Why don’t government agencies pay the non machinable surcharge

Every time I have been sent a hard card in an envelope by a government agency, usually a police department sending me my firearms license, the meter imprint shows they did not pay the non machinable surcharge (the imprint shows .74 and not 1.23). Obviously a hard card in an envelope requires payment of the non machinable surcharge.

How come they can get away with it, and at a massive scale, and yet when I send people gift cards in envelopes or oversized postcards on thin cardstock I have to pay the non machinable surcharge?

DC Union Station firearms check experience

Yesterday, I checked my firearm at DC Union Station. I was going back to Philadelphia from DC on Crescent 20. I was pleasantly surprised that despite how strict DC’s gun laws are, the experience went over without a hitch.

I was not asked to show my DC Carry Permit or Firearm Registration Certificates.

I have a valid CCW for DC, MD, and VA (plus a bunch of other states).

To make it clear you cannot just walk into Union Station carrying your firearm. You can make a checked baggage firearms reservation on an Amtrak train with a baggage car at least 24 hours before departure, and transport your firearm unloaded and in a hard sided locked container with the ammunition in a separate container and declare at windows 16-20.
