AWB friendly Lower Recievers AMBI vs NON AMBI Question

I am having a super legit OEM manufacture lowers for me. Variance work will probably take a little over 3 months to be complete . Before putting an order in since I am going to be spending some jingle, I was curious what the consensus was on Ambi vs non Ambi for billet machined m16 cut non forged lowers with your state since I will be pursuing and targeting sales for dealers in your state or direct to my site/or other company site.

THESE WILL BE EXEMPT FROM BEING BANNED AND GOOD TO GO IN ANY BAN STATE .

My Primary company is located in MA where we have the strictest gun laws in the US and can navigate producing a complete firearm or a receiver/receiver-set for transfer without it ever being deemed a " ASSAULT WEAPON" even in the strictest of states.

I couldn't figure out how to make a poll so please comment your preference with a comment AMBI, or NON AMBI

ill make another thread with a question on FORGED mil spec/tdp spec lower's in classic non Ambi or Ambi with m16 cut and hopefully figure out the poll feature by then after DM'ng a Mod

MA resident bringing rifles to RI range?

Hey friends, wondering the legality of bringing an AR15 and AR9 from MA to RI for shooting at an indoor range. My understanding is that it's legal as long as all mags are 10 rounds and they're transported in locked cases with no ammo in the trunk of the car. Does that sound accurate? Thanks in advance!

And now for some unfortunate news... re: lowers

I've spoken with a few trusted folks, names you would recognize if you are in this community or pay attention to politics, and I have some unfortunate news. I am sharing this because I don't want anyone to get in trouble.

It is very likely that we will not be able to transfer lowers or AR/AK pistols going forward, and from what I understand many FFLs' counsels have said as much as well.

The argument is that while yes - perfectly legal for us to make AR pistols, or Non-NFA AOWs, or what not with them with the law as written, the AG is claiming it violates the spirit of the law and is literally foaming at the mouth waiting to make an example out of someone for this.

Some shops have said previously they will still stock pistols and lowers, but news comes breaking from earlier this week.

Yes - we would ultimately likely win as the law is written, but the process is the punishment, and even those with deep pockets are seemingly unwilling to do so. "You will lose everything" was what was said. That is a significant perceived legal risk. You'll beat the wrap, but you won't beat the ride, the process IS the punishment.

Peter Neronha has already expressed displeasure with how little enforcement and arrests the mag ban has been getting, and this looks like it will be his swan song.

The good news is all of your lowers purchased 7/1 pre-ban should be fine to configure as you like. The problem will be getting new lowers or AR pistols or Dracos or what not.

I hope I'm misinformed, but I doubt it unfortunately.

The silver lining - we should not have to worry about this for much longer by this time next year as the SCOTUS will have rules in Viramontes in our favor, but even sooner so - when we make sure we put an AG who isn't openly hostile to the 2A (someone like Joe Solomon on the (D) side (who voted against the mag ban and AWB) or Alan Gordon on the (R) side) we should be able to get an opinion letter clarifying this shortly after they are sworn in.

This is why it is SUPER IMPORTANT that we all DISAFFILIATE so that we can vote for Solomon in the dem primary so no matter who wins the general we have an AG who is not openly hostile to the 2A like Nehronha is.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news on this, and I hope I am wrong or misinformed or that someone will have the balls and the pockets to stand up to this, but I believe we are in a holding pattern for a little while on this one folks. I only say this all because I don't want anyone (FFL or individual) to get in trouble or jammed up over this.

None of the above is legal advice nor constitutes any legal advice or attorney-client relationship. IANAL. Seek your own legal counsel if you wish.

This is my current understanding based on conversations with several sources. I have not seen formal guidance from the Attorney General's office confirming this position, and doubt there ever will be any.

We are working on one or two more things regarding the AWB then we are 100% focused on election season folks. We need to keep fighting.

Can police see if you have a CCW when they run your info?

Wondering if anyone knows the answer to this. I’ve been pulled over twice (one town cop one statie) with my CCW before and I informed the officer both times that I was armed. I recently read that story of the guy who was arrested for drunk driving while having his CCW in the car. The article said the police asked him if he had his firearm on him, are they able to see that in their system? I didn’t think it was tied to your DL like some states.

Where can I shoot my .300 rifle?

Any good outdoor ranges that you don’t have to be a member? I bought a .300 win mag rifle and want to test out the distance and my accuracy. Anything around here to do that?

Some potentially GREAT news regarding AWB

Some potentially good news! Both Viramontes and Grant have been consolidated and have been granted certiorari. We're finally going to get an AWB case heard by the Supreme Court!

>CERTIORARI GRANTED

>25-238 ) VIRAMONTES, CUTBERTO, ET AL. V. COOK COUNTY, IL, ET AL.
25-566 ) GRANT, EDDIE, ET AL. V. HIGGINS, RONNELL, ET AL.

>The petitions for writs of certiorari are granted as to the question presented by the petition in No. 25-238. The cases are consolidated, and a total of one hour is allotted for oral argument.

Some general thoughts about bans.

What are you guys stocking up on after july 1st? More pistol lowers? Dracos? Im persoannly going to be buying a saiga magazine fed shotgun an mp5 pistol.

Going forward I woulsnt be surprised if an armour plate ban goes into effect. We have seen new york and conn, ban plates. I want to get a plate carrier setup this year, before its too late.

So just drop some idea of guns your buying going forwards that arent banned.

Recent Providence CCW process

I will be scheduling my Ri qualification soon and afterwards be sending my application to Providence. I am a Cumberland resident but the application process in Cumberland is unlawful and unconstitutional. I should have my Nonresident Ma LTC soon. Once a make a copy of my Ma LTC and complete the qualification I will send in the entire application with the request documentation notarized to Providence. In case you’re wondering I don’t have deep enough pockets and don’t want to deal with the retaliation of challenging Cumberland P.D. Curious of how Providence works and the time line once I send in all the paperwork.

HK SP5K PDW, legally sold in RI after July 1st?

Having read the bill, to my understanding, HK SP5K PDWs with threaded barrels + magazines outside of the grip will continue to be legally sold in RI because they are pistols, not rifles, correct?

With that being said, some FFLs here in RI will not sell them to avoid any issues, while others will?
