Is $800 OTD a good price for just shooting Clays?

Noticed on the way to the movie theater that the road noise/passing cars was loud, before today the cabin has been extremely quiet apart from the engine when accelerating hard. Does that mean the noise cancellation technology isn’t working? Getting out of my garage is a big drop from rain eroding the dirt, wondering if that knocked something loose

Has anyone gone to surplus provisions with an online retailers price and actually got them to match? the emails i receive from them state that they will match any price (including shipping and transfer fee). I find it hard to believe given some of the discounts you can find using gundeals.com

I wanted to direct mount an EPS Carry to my 43x. When I sit it on the slide (have not shaved down rear posts) it comes no where close to getting above the sight line. If i put on the adapter plate, it comes into the sight picture low in the window, so im assuming if I go to zero it and i need more elevation, im SOL. I haven’t seen any threads on this issue whatsoever prior to buying, but came across only one thread after searching for it that had no real answer. Is the dot defective?
