Widest Tire/wheel size
What is the widest tire/wheel side and off set that I can put on the front and rear of this 1965 Buick Skylark? Pics appreciated in DM.

Hi everyone, I am in the market for a new car and have been looking at getting a buick. I am getting out of a hyundai sonata which is now burning oil at only 80k miles.
I test drove both the 2026 envision and envista and am on the fence about which to get. After doing some research, I’m not sure how to feel about the envista’s 1.2 ecotec 3 cylinder engine. I am finding 2025 Envisions with low mileage (~10k) for about the same price as a new envista.
Reliability is my biggest concern. Which of these two would be the better choice for a car that will last me the longest with the least amount of issues?
Thinking about looking at this 06 Buick Lucerne
With only 38,000 miles for 5 grand.
Very familiar with the series 2 3.8 not so much the series 3 and the transmission that’s in this car.
However I’m unaware of the problems that come with a post 2005 Chevy. From what I’ve seen anything after 2005 has been a cheap mess and I’m curious about what I should look out for before I go see it today.
I plan on doing all types of driving with this as I’m in the union and often have hour+ commutes for work.
Thanks!
Aloha, I live on the remote island of Hawaii, the main island of Hawaii, but we have very little here in the way of old cars. I had to get a car and my friend got a quick turn car of a 2009 Buick Lacrosse CXL. It has low miles and a good price but the main drivers door was not opening (missing outer handle) and had to send to a mechanic so now know the exact parts needed. 2 door rods.
I have exhausted all options that I can and need help finding these parts. Nothing local at all. eBay doesn’t have. I’ve tried purchasing from 3 different dealers online that say they have them by part number only to be refunded because they don’t. Each time telling me that GM has discontinued them.
Please help! Mahalo
Financing a 2021 Buick Enclave Avenir AWD with 62,xxx miles on it. One owner car. Carfax reports all regular oil changes and tire rotations done. Most major work done was the axel seal replacements.
I know little to nothing about cars, tried to do as much research as possible, and even called my mechanic for advice. What’s everyone’s personal take on this buy?
1984 Buick Skylark Custom coupe with 31k original miles. V6 and air.
Located in Waltham, Mass., I spotted this at a car show yesterday. Up for grabs. I have the owner contact if interested, and will DM. Needs bumper fillers, the gas strut for the hood, and some attention to the belts. Runs well otherwise.
Wife's car is a 2018 Buick Encore. In the past couple of months I found 2 nearly identical foam pads on the garage floor where she parks.
Can someone help me identify what it is and whether I need to have the car serviced now or soon or whenever?
Foam is soft, pink inside, and was manufactured by BASF. AI keeps pointing me to the suspension system but I can't find and foam parts on it. There are rubber parts that look similar however I think it's wrong. It's next guess was some noise dampening foam that can only be replaced by replacing some large component of the car (ie bumper).
Anyone know what this is from?
Edit: I found the other part and the two join perfectly so they are the same part. With the other part (having issues adding a picture here or as a new post...) the shape is circular (half only) and the diameter is 145mm or 5.7in. Just handling the parts to take a picture, a small piece broke off. This stuff is soft and brittle as it is right now.
2018 Buick Envision AWD. Center support bearing on driveshaft is starting to growl at me. Is this able to be replaced separately from replacing the whole driveshaft? Can not seem to be able to find individual parts
Recently lost her 2011 Honda insight so we found this on carvana! She loves it. Guess I'm part of the Buick club lol. Good to be here.
My car has 96,000 miles. The front suspension is original, but the rear is not. I think the car is generally pretty smooth, but I definitely feel when I'm over a road that is a little rough, and some vibrations are usually present. I also definitely feel the occasional shallow pothole. This really just doesn't fit with what I hear when people usually talk about the suspension on these things. Does this tend to be a specific component being worn out that causes this, or are these cars usually meant to behave like this?
My ideal ride is a floaty boat with absolutely zero road feel. Any advice is appreciated
150,000 good running engine nice interior good breaks would you ?
92 Roadmaster: Got it back from mechanic and this hose was unplugged from the valve cover. The only way to easily plug back in is by removing the sensor. What sensor is this and is it safe to unplug? Would I have to disconnect battery first?
How did GM/Buick not capitalize on the EV phenomenon with Electra name? It seems t like they missed a great opportunity 😐
Im wondering how to install new speakers into my park avenue i have the regular trim so only 6 speakers, im wanting to know how hard it is and what parts will i need and a good site to buy them. if anyone has any info that would be great
No luck with my search on plastic repair for the center console. Any recommendations would be appreciated before I look into completely replacing with another.
Are there any wraps available to coverup?
It's time to sit together and discuss which are the most reliable blend door actuators. I've seen multiple reports that Dorman and Duralast (same?) actuators die one after another in less than a year. On the other hand, I've seen the opinion that random Chinese actuators do not break.
I have a random Amazon one which is still working fine after a year. What's your experience and with which brands?
