Roller Frames and new fabric

I have been short on frames lately and had made a post recently that included a picture with one of my roller frames and someone asked what i was using for a frame so i thought to include a few pictures of the process of me putting some 230 mesh on some empty frames i had in the shed.  I believe i need to invest in some better fabric soon and have been looking at this but would love to hear if anyone has other fabric source recommendations.

Roller frames have gold and silver nuts one is normal thread the other reverse creating a system that all nuts will spin in the same direction to tighten or loosen depending what side of the frame is up.  I like to use the big wrench on my left side starting with the left nut loose and using the big wrench to hold position while i loosen the right side 2nd and then stretch the fabric with my left hand on the big wrench all while right hand is still on small wrench (right side) waiting to tighten once i feel good about the stretch then back to left with small wrench to tighten.  The frames are subject to warping at the corners due to uneven tension but with practice you can get them very flat and with the cheep amazon fabric i have I can get over 20 newtons pretty easily I just normally need to do a second stretch after letting the frames rest from the first stretch.  If you use roller frames do you have any other advice?

Happy 4th!

Halftone Practice with Laura Palmer

Still fairly new to screenprinting but I feel driven to halftones and eventuly CYMK, always i saw this picture of laura palmer and thought it would be fun to practice with and hopefully make myself a cool shirt in the process. I tried 3 screens today all 230 yellow mesh useing full sun at mid day I burned the first screen at 22 sec and it was the worst, 2nd screen at 20 sec and 3rd at 19 sec, the last two were pretty similar but i can not pick up the top left area very well and would love some advice on if i need a higher mesh as im maxed out with the 230 atm or if i need to make changes in the artwork or the bitmap settings. I wish i did have a proper exposer unit but the sun is my friend for now. Thanks for any advice.

output 300 pixels/inch

Method use halftone screen

Freq = 60 lines / inch

Angle = 35 degrees

shape = Ellipse
