Hi everybody 👋

I just picked up my first Schwinn (a marketplace bargain) and I definitely need to do a major cleanup before I do any serious traveling on it. I am hoping that someone here could help me figure out the approximate age and possibly point me in the general direction of reputable advice for repairs.

It's a Sierra gs with an aluminum frame but there isn't a sticker on it like every website, including Schwinn themselves, asks for to identify it so I'm having trouble figuring out the age. I found the serial on the bottom of the bottom bracket and a date code stamped in the headbadge but since I have no idea of the decade it's from I can't really sort out the code 😅.

Any help is greatly appreciated
