Except for the bar tape and pedals, this bike is 100% original. The tires are Schwinn branded and look and ride like new, (which makes no sense). Even the cable housing is original and branded DiaCompe. It's like a time capsule. I've restored lots of bikes but all this one needed was a light cleaning. It rides great and gets me lots of compliments.
So sorry if the Chrome just clashes with that green toolbox behind it pretty much the clearest space I can find to take a full picture of bike it's a 22-in frame it fits me pretty well I'm pretty short rider so I mean it's perfect for me I found some original Hun's wild grip tape that's in that silver glitter tape to match the chrome finish My only concern is that weird seat post that I just can't find a match for in size And I'd prefer to not have the black seat I'd like a brown one. Any insight would be amazing
We’ve had a 1961-2 Schwinn in my family since I was a kid I still have it and was wondering what today’s price would be it’s definitely not mint but I’ve heard they’re really rare…thanks for any info.
I'm confused on why it's marked at aluminum ? And is this a rare color I'm looking to bring it home for my collection
