Anyone else disappointed with the new Stan Smith quality?

I just bought a new pair of Adidas Stan Smiths and was honestly surprised by how much they’ve changed.
I’ve attached photos comparing my old pair (sorry for the dirt and cat hair 🙈) with the new version. A few things I noticed:

- The tongue used to be padded and stitched—now it’s just die-cut.
- The inside of the shoe has much less padding.
- Even the eyelets feel noticeably cheaper.

Meanwhile, the shoes now come with a fancy booklet, but I’d happily trade that for the old build quality.
I’ve probably owned 20+ pairs of Stan Smiths over the years, so this was really disappointing. Has anyone else noticed the same decline in quality, or did I just get a bad pair?
