Full context:
I received this iPad through a survey in the US. I don’t live in the US, and a friend who was supposed to collect it for me couldn’t do it due to a change in plans. The item is currently sitting in a Stackry warehouse in New Hampshire.

I initially planned to ship it internationally, but the shipping + customs costs don’t make sense, so I’m just trying to sell it within the US instead.

Important notes:

• Item is in warehouse storage, not physically with me
• Can request additional photos from warehouse if needed
• Will ship directly from Stackry to buyer
• Payment via PayPal Goods & Services only

Reason for low price: Just trying to move it quickly instead of letting it sit in storage. Also I am willing to ship it first and the get the payemnt but only to people who have legit trade history.

Hey everyone, I could really use some advice here.

I recently got a brand new Apple iPad (11th Gen, 128GB, WiFi, sealed) from a survey I did in the US. The issue is, I don’t actually live in the US. A friend was supposed to collect it for me, but their plans changed and they had to leave early, so now the iPad is just sitting in a Stackry warehouse in New Hampshire.

For context, Stackry is a service that stores items and then ships them wherever you want. My original plan was to ship it to India, but after checking the customs and duties, it just doesn’t make sense. I’d end up paying around $200+ on top of shipping for a ~$300 device.

So now I’m just trying to sell it within the US and recover some value instead of letting it sit there.

Here’s where I’m stuck:

• I don’t have physical access to the item since it’s in the warehouse
• I only have a couple of basic package photos
• eBay isn’t letting me list properly since I don’t have US verification (no SSN, etc.)
• On Reddit, people don’t trust the listing because I’m new and don’t have trade history
• Buyers either don’t respond or expect me to go first, which I’m not comfortable with

I genuinely have a legitimate item and I’m not trying to scam anyone. I just don’t know what the right path is here.

If anyone has dealt with something similar, or knows:

• where I can sell this safely
• how to build trust as a new seller
• or any workaround given the item is in a warehouse
