Nestled deep within the horrible cliffs of California lies Rifts End, a city built on vice, secrets, and old blood. Neon light signs shine and flicker over rain soaked streets. While jazz music drifts across the streets from smoke filled clubs. Politicians, gangsters, and killers all compete for power beneath eleven criminal bosses who rule the city from the shadows. Every alley, every deal, every death carries a price, and every citizen knows that in Rifts End. Justice is something you don’t get.
The world beyond the city is not much better. Decades ago, fear changed reality. The Reckoners, ancient beings of terror, twisted the course of history. Which prolonged the American Civil War and unleashing horrors upon the earth. The dead walk, mad scientists build impossible machines, magic draws power from dark bargains, and monsters lurk just beyond the neon light. Most city folk dismiss the supernatural as rumors and ghost stories, but those who know the truth understand that humanity is losing a war it barely realized it is fighting.
Now, something is stirring beneath Rifts End. Strange disappearances, murders, and rumors of some kind of reckoning have begun to spread through the city. Whether you’re a lawman, a grifter, a veteran, a gambler, or a soul simply trying to survive, fate has drawn you here. In a city ruled by sin and haunted by nightmares, the question isn’t whether you’ll face evil it’s how much of your own soul you’ll sacrifice to stop it.
