Sorry if this seems like a dumb question. I have plans made and annual vacations approved. However, at the last moment, it seems there would be rain next weekend. Would I be takig a risk leaving for Skardu tomorrow? Could someone familiar with the weather patterns answer please?

I'm going to be driving to Skardu soon. We are middleclass peeps and affordability is a bit of a concern. Would it be better to book hotels beforehand or negotiate on the spot?

Also, would be grateful for any other suggestions regarding places/food/hotels. Thanks
