Hi, everyone! I am in the mood to read something bone chilling and overall eery. I don't like gore, but I love distopian and eery mysteries. I love stories with a subtle creepiness that builds up, too. I'm into weird conspiracy theories on the side and true scary stories on YouTube, if any of that helps spark any ideas.
If there's any gamers on here, Thief is one of my favorite game series for this reason.
I'm on my 100th re-watch on season 5 episode 12 ("Commissions and Fees"), which is already such a heavy episode due to the stunning yet tragic exit of Lane Pryce. Yet this time, the scene of Sally running home and hugging Betty when she gets her period is so sweet in the midst of all of it and this time around I got teary-eyed. Growing up, it's one of those situations that I believe offers a chance for mothers to pass on such important wisdom and love to their daughters, something girls never really forget. I can't help but wonder why it was chosen as a plot line to run alongside Lane's in this episode.
I love how things hit differently per watch.
I got my gallbladder removed 1.5 years ago. I had IBS before that and I've just overall changed up most of my diet since then. But of course I will occasionally get that horrible pain and gurgling in my lower abdomen when I eat something with too much fat... leading to me sticking near the rr for the rest of the morning. My mom also knows of this quite well as she also had hers removed about 10 years ago. I thought and thought about it and for more than a year now, I've called it "the attack of the void." Because it's what's not there that's causing this issue. Haha, it's silly I know but feel free to use this phrase too.
I guess it's helped me be fairly lighthearted about it all.
I got really behind on my Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons game. I played Light of Hope a while back and was not impressed with it.
I am loving Winds of Anthos right now! I think visually it is really pretty. I'm enjoying the Breath of the Wild inspiration. It also vaguely reminds me of Pokémon Legends Arceus.
I've gotten about 16 hours into the game, give or take a little. I have the beach town in the works, and the autumn looking town is about to do their musical number. The one thing that is driving me a little crazy is how much I keep getting lost everytime I try to find the winter town. Wow! I have gotten lost so many times. I feel like that's part of the point perhaps but wow it's frustrating. I just wish there were a few more landscapes so far.
I like the main girl's design really well. I opted for blonde hair so she'd look like Claire in Mineral Town. I really like Kaimana and Arnold the most amongst the guys thus far but I haven't met Nikolai or the DLC bachelor yet.
Hi, friends! I've been playing Harvest Moon since the good ole GameCube and GBA days! I got super behind on my consumption of HM games and I am hoping to get cozy and play some more soon.
I've been looking back on the games throughout the years. Did I fever dream this, or wasn't there a game where when you choose the girl, the male option becomes a villager you can romance? I don't know if I'm confusing this with another game series or not.
In any case, I cannot wait to get taught up on HM. I'm going to try DS Cute soonish.
