I 100% WOA and its DLC

180 hours later. I purchased the complete version when it came out. I would give it a solid 8/10. I really enjoyed it for the most part. Now on to Grand Bazaar!

Harvest Moon 64: Missed Popuri dream event?

Had the dream text for Popuri describing her reaching for the flower before falling, was never able to get the event to trigger behind the Carpenter's house. It has now been a month of going to the event area daily without triggering the scene. Is there still a chance it will trigger or am I out of luck?

Also! Can I still trigger rival events with higher hearts for the bachelors by reducing their hearts with weeds/stones/poison mushrooms?

Thank you!

Harvest Moon: Animal Parade

I went home to steal my parents Wii, only to find out they threw it away! Luckily for me, a lot of the games I had for it, I kept in a box of mine. I guess HM: AP got lost so I bought it again( along with another Wii off of eBay. Got this baby for $7 😭😭

Opinion post, ready your keyboards!

Sunshine Island has much better controls and a better farming and debris system, but it was a massive downgrade in terms of story. Rebuilding the island in IOH was always fun, especially seeing your own efforts pay off as things get upgraded. It was really cool to always be meeting new characters (though the amount of effort to keep them there was ridiculous). And they completely erased the shipwreck plotline, which I found really cool because you are a survivor who makes the best of every situation. By endgame, the island is thriving and so are you.

I really feel like they could have just unfucked some things and let this game exist in the way it was meant to.

Chicken quandary

Whenever I enter the chicken coop I’m immediately blocked off by multiple chickens. Playing on the Switch NSO if that makes any difference. Any advice? Happens every time I go in there, I can’t move either chicken or their eggs.

A New beginning items

Hello,
It’s been a long time since I last played this game, and I forgot how to sell items (like milk or grass). Do I just put them in the shipping bin? 😅

When can Mr. D be challenged?

It is one of the four farming tips I currently have. I am in no hurry to finish the main story so I will actually be doing only the beginner class contests for several in-game years. Though where should I expect to meet Mr. D?

In this game, can I actually marry a woman if I play as a woman without it being called "best friends"?

It's very risky with these games. I know it's Natsume, but they claim I can marry whoever the hell I want. Can I actually do that, or is it just called "best friends"? "It's not gay if it's with the homies."

Home sweet home

I recently bought harvest moon home sweet home and I’ve noticed I never see anyone talk about it on this, what did you all think of it?
So far, I’m enjoying it but I do think the story moves quite slow

Observations from my first IoH playthrough

I have been generally enjoying the fact that this game is challenging in terms of stamina management, the freshness/quality mechanics, the water/sun points, managing relationships and time to make sure no one moves out, and the sheer amount of upgrades you can do on your farm and the island. As an adult player, I don’t hate the extra challenge at all. I also don’t find the use of the stylus toooo annoying, except…

BRUSHING YOUR ANIMALS. If the horse decides to move while I’m using my brush I’ve wasted precious stamina points.

My other main observation/pondering is: is Regis a vampire?

Aside from that it’s taking forever to get heart points up for marriage so that’s annoying.

I can’t wait to discuss IoH with you all. I know it’s a polarizing entry but I’m quite enjoying it!

Poached Egg from Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar! Poached eggs are my favorite style of egg but they can be tricky to do, so I use an egg cooker that produces perfect poached eggs every time.

What is your opinion on having a more fleshed out family in Trio of Towns?

I personally like the idea behind it. It is nice your parents have actual personality and portraits. And Lynn is a cute sister. Unfortunately, the game kind of doesn't handle it too well. The mother and little sister only have finite amount of visits, and while visiting they just stay in the house with limited dialogue. Neither the mother nor the siter interact with your wife (who would be daughter in law or sister in law) even when both are at home. While I like the idea, the game doesn't handle it too well unfortunately. What do others think of it? As well as the way the game handles it?

Beginning a new beginning

I'm still in the trenches (first month) but I am loving this game so far.

Also, shout out to 3ds for allowing me to play in spurts and suspending frequently with a newborn.

About Magical Melody

I’m just about to start, but can someone convince me that HM: Magical Melody will be one of the best games I’ve ever played? Because I'm only 5 minutes into the game and I'm already lost trying to find my way home, and the idea that villagers will leave if you don't talk to them enough is making me overthink

Serious Question...

Serious question, does Magical Melody really take a very long time to finish the main story? (As in, collecting all the musical notes).

I'm currently on a journey to play every single Harvest Moon game out there, and I'm planning to play Magical Melody next. But for some reason, I'm afraid that a game which is supposed to be fun will end up causing burnout instead because it might take way longer than usual. Am I just overreacting? I haven't even started the game yet so i am not sure..

Harvest Moon 64 Recomp

HarvestMoon64Recomp: PC Port of Harvest Moon 64 made using N64: Recompiled (Windows/Linux/Mac)

Harvest Moon 64: Recompiled is a project that uses N64: Recompiled to statically recompileHarvest Moon 64 into a native port with many new features, enhancements, and extensive mod support.

Simply provide your copy of the North American version of the game in the main menu and start playing! This project will automatically load assets from the provided copy, so there is no need to go through a separate extraction step or build the game yourself. Other versions of the game may be supported in the future.
