Why using plunges every week is the hard part?
Getting a cold plunge is the exciting part. Using it every week is where it gets annoying. Ice runs get old really fast. Waiting for water to get cold takes effort. Then you start dealing with cloudy water, filters, cleaning, draining and all that small stuff nobody really thinks about before buying one I work around this space with icebound essentials and one of the most common things I notice, a lot of people don’t quit because the cold is too much. They quit because the setup starts feeling like another chore. From what I’ve seen, the people who stick with it usually make the setup easier: chiller, decent filtration, keeping it covered, cleaning the filter, showering before getting in. Boring stuff but it matters
That’s why I think the chiller and filtration side matters more than people realise. If the water is already cold and not gross, you’re way more likely to actually use it
