Who are the Calyptra and the Chancel before the Intercalate?
The Madrugad and the Meniscate both ascend to hourhood after the Intercalate, but they are members of the Calyptra and the Chancel, respectively.
The Calyptra clearly predates the Intercalate as the Libraries predate it. Do we have theories or hints about pre-Intercalate Calyptra? Did the Madrugad joined later? Or was she there as a Sun's Name? If so, does this count as the SiS being a member of the Calyptra, the golden flower? If so I would have more questions about the relationship between the SiS and the Watchman pre-Intercalate...
Same goes for the Chancel. I don't know when the Chancel formed, before or after the Intercalate. Is Meniscate always there, deciding who counts as Hours, as a Name? Or is the group/law formed after there are 30 hours and they decided that there should be no more?
