Was always called weird. Now it's a flex

Growing up, I was the weird one. I had weird hobbies and obscure knowledge.

I still do.

Last night I took my 14 year old down to the fields in the middle of the night, to watch the meteor shower.

While we're laying there, just comfortable in the silence, they say "imagine having basic parents". I told that my mom (their grandma) is very basic (teen slang for "boring"). They said "but you're not.... I'm so happy about that... no one else I know, would be out here in the middle of the night with their mom, watching this wonder".

And I know their friends and their parents, so that is true.

Always flare up when it's hot?

Look, I have always heard that heat is good. And in winter I especially enjoy a long warm bath.

But it seems I always get a nasty flare up in summer?

My legs are like lead, brain fog like you wouldn't believe. Can't sleep on either side because my hips hurt.

I take LDN and no pain killers. And it sucks that I always have flare ups when my husband is off from work and we're supposed to be going places and doing things. I still go and do, but it's definitely not optimal.

Anyway, I just wanted to hear if I'm the only one who apparently do worse in summer than in winter?

Taming?

Relatively new rat owner here.

We adopted a snake, rat came with, as snake's next meal. Rat is absolutely too big for snake. Rat fell asleep on my arm = now pet.

Anyway, I cuddle with him, I play with him, I make enrichment for him. But I read that rats should not be alone, so yesterday I bought a second rat. A female feeder rat (because I'm not made of money and this guy was a feeder and became tame in like 10 seconds).

There were no issues putting them together. They accepted eachother right away.

1)I never see them hang out together. She usually hides in another house than him. He comes running to be taken out, as soon as he sees me.

  1. should I just let her be? And for how long?

What is the best way to get her used to contact, without forcibly taking her out? (She's not aggressive, doesn't bite, but avoid me).

I am okay with her not being cuddly, as long as they enjoy eachother's company, but it seems like she avoids him as well? (He is not super interested in her, doesn't mount her).

I know they'll reproduce, that's the plan.
