I received an email from hdfc to upgrade my savings account to a max savings account, after looking at the features and the lifetime free debit card I went with the upgrade. 2 days after the upgrade approval i contacted the customer support to enquire about the card

they told me to visit the branch which I did and they told me to contact customer service regarding the debit card. After going through all that hassle the branch employee told me that the card is not lifetime free and a few of their customers have been charged for the card.

So I want to know if this card is lifetime free for the max savings account and if it is how will I get my lifetime free debit card ?

While filling the sbi po form I only mentioned the name of my college which is affiliated to my state university, will there be any issues because of it ?

My degree certificate from the University mentions me as a student of that college but the degree is issued from by university.
