Impressive Camera

OnePlus 12 still has a great camera, However I noticed there is a huge difference between Normal Camera mode and Master mode, Master mode is like u are shooting on a Professional Camera, with fantastic natural bokeh beautiful colors and fast autofocus. U can also focus even when the camera is too close to the subject, unlike in normal mode

16.0.7.200 safe? (Indian Variant)

Is the 16.0.7.200 update safe from the motherboard point of view?

Lot of people reported motherboard failure in indian variants particularly after software updates.

I am not much knowledgable on what triggers these mobo failures and can't really afford to lose my phone hence just taking the necessary precautions before updating.

Thanks

Is this good battery life on 16.1 (16.0.7.200)

I am experiencing very poor battery performance on my phone running OxygenOS 16.1. Are you noticing improved battery life?

Do you have any recommendations to enhance battery longevity?

Disabling night mode permanently

Hey, How can I permanently disable this night mode feature or however it's called, lots of time I want to take quick picture and I can't because it makes me wait few seconds until taking and ending up with blurred photo because I move it away. Whenever I disable it, it comes back on after a while, it's so annoying I have OP12 if it helps with OOS 16.07

Charging speed slowed down after 16.0.7.200 update

Hello guys, I just updated my OnePlus 12 and I'm shocked. Charging literally slowed down like 2-3x.

I'm charging phone for about 40-45min (original 100W charger and it load 50% in that time! Normally in 25-300% I get full battery

"No data" for use since last charge

Been meaning to ask this question for awhile - ever since the OS16 update and the refreshed battery appearance, I have never seen the counter for time since last charge like in the older software - it just says "No data". Very annoying since I like to know when I last charged the phone! (I do have the "screen on active" and "screen off active" counters however) Was thinking maybe OnePlus removed it so you couldn't see your battery life wasting away, lol (which mine has)

But now in other posts with screen grabs of their battery status, other users DO have the time since last charge being given! Is there some setting that needs to be changed?

Details: OP12 CPH2583 16.0.5.702 Battery life at 99% (18 months of use)

Did good or failed? Bought used oneplus 12.

I needed a phone since I broke my old OnePlus 6 T. That phone was phenomenal. I bought it used at the end of 2022 for 80 euro, and it was still working fine after 3,5 years of use.

I didn't want to spend more than ~500 euro for a phone, and I set my mind on a used phone.

I had 3 options:

Samsung S24 Ultra 256 gb,12 gb ram for ~370 euro.

Oneplus 13 512 gb 16 gb ram for ~500euro.

Oneplus 12 512 gb 16 gb ram for 300 euro.

Ended up getting the OnePlus 12 because the guy with the OnePlus 13 didn't want to move at all, so I had to travel a little longer.

The phone is in very good condition, with a few dots on the frame, and the battery health is at 90%,i got the 110W charger and a nice Spigen case included. He bought it 2 years ago for 1000 euro.I got similar or even better screen-on time vs my cousin's S25 Ultra.

To Repair or Not to Repair (some advice plz?) (UK)

I made a post about an issue i have had twice on my OP12 (a few months apart, so not super frequent) where it becomes completely unresponsive with the screen not even turning on at all. But last time i was able to fix the issue with a hard reset using the vol up + power button.

I suspect there's a faulty connection with the motherboard, causing all the components to switch off until rebooted. Obviously im concerned because if next time that hard reset doesnt work then i have a literal brick.

However... just found out repairs can take 2-3 weeks (way more than i was expecting), and from past experience i know it would take me a whole week to transfer all my files back on to the phone when i get it. Thats annoying enough, but my spare phone is kinda old and busted so im really reluctant to go send away my OP12

Do i:

A) Send my OP12 for a repair under warranty (assuming they do find the issue and cover it) and endure 2-3 weeks of using an old phone - and then suffer the week-long tedious grind of transferring everything back over from my PC to the OP12 when i get it back. I also have about 4 months left on my warranty so im just conscious of the fact that if the phone's issue escalates, its likely my warranty will have expired by that point

B) Just keep backing up my files *as i already have been onto an external drive*, and pray that the hard reset keeps working if the issue happens again

Upgrading from Redmi 9A after 6 years — best used flagship around ₹35k?

Upgrading from Redmi 9A after 6 years and need help choosing my next phone 😭

So I’ve been using a Redmi 9A (2/32) for almost 6 years now and it’s finally giving up.

Everything lags, apps crash, many apps aren’t even supported anymore, storage is always full, and the overall experience is painful now 💀

Budget is around ₹35k and I’m totally okay with buying used/second hand if it means getting a proper flagship experience.

What I want:

- Great camera

- Flagship-level performance

- Good battery life

- Smooth software experience

- Good long-term reliability

- A phone that feels “complete” overall

Phones I’m considering:

- OnePlus 12

- OPPO Find X8

- Xiaomi 14

- Xiaomi 14 Ultra

- Vivo X100

- Vivo X100 Pro

I don’t game heavily every day but I want something that stays fast for years and feels premium in daily use.

Camera matters a lot too since this will probably be my main phone for the next 4–5 years.

Right now I’m leaning towards the OnePlus 12 because it seems like the best all-rounder, but Vivo X100 Pro camera samples look insane too.

Would love real user opinions:

- Which one would you pick in 2026 around this budget?

- Which one has the best long-term experience?

- Anything I should avoid in the used market?

Also if there are any other hidden gems around ₹35k, recommend them too 👀

After the newest update. So far so good. EU version.

How are your 12s holding up? I am currently sitting at 95% battery health. Not planning to upgrade yet, 1+ 15 looks like a joke in comparison with 12, and honestly not sure what the 16 is going to bring to the table.

When are they finally going to fix this ridiculous camera shutter issue?

I'm so tired of it taking about 20 clicks before the phone finally decides to take a photo, if it does at all. Often I will miss a good shot or be made to look like a complete moron in front of whoever I am with or trying to photograph thanks to this.

And before anyone decides to mention software upgrades or anything like that, there must have been about 4/5 since this stupid issue started last year, including the last one which completely changed the camera interface yet still did not fix the actual problem.

On a side note, as good as the hardware is, the oppo merger has been a disaster for the OnePlus software; the phone UI makes it look like a cheap Chinese phone. When I got my first OnePlus (3T) in 2017, it was not far off the Pixel experience, but since then it is just getting worse with every update.

I want Film mode back!

I really liked the 21:9 aspect ratio, everything was cinematic and I know that you can just achieve it with a quick edit but there was something about having it built in. The recent update replaced Film Mode with Pro video and they don't give an option for an aspect ratio change, I also thought film mode had a look that I liked better. How do I get it back without rolling back on updates??
