Rear axle woes

I am hoping to find people smarter than the local Toyota service department.

Truck sat for a year to two years. Finally decided to get it running again and saw fluid leaking out the passenger rear tire.

Decided to go to Toyota because my garage is a storage unit and it’s hotter than blazes to do this outside.

Basically, they went from:

  1. Installing the wrong axle seal (one notch?) and they needed the two notch axle seal. They would t or couldn’t expand on what they meant. I suspect abs vs non abs?

  2. To then saying it was a bent shaft. They used the highly sophisticated bench top roll to make that determination. When I asked them for the runout measurements they then said…

  3. The axle diameter is not the right size. I asked for the diameter before they installed it and they didn’t give it to me. They said it’s not OEM because all of the seals are not sealing.

So….I’m just going to do it myself, but where do I go from here? Really don’t want to have to replace the entire thing if I don’t have to but it’s looking that’s the way I need to go.

Has anyone ran into a non standard diameter aftermarket axle?

Risked driving it home and it is like 10000% worse than it was before. Whole underside is coated with fluid…

Tldr; Toyota is useless. Can’t reliably tell me what exactly is wrong with my rear axle seal. Need halp.

Kind of disgusting… can anyone tell what animal this came from? I have dog’s and I know it’s not from them.

I want to know what has been visiting our yard. I can’t tell they have been smelling some kind of visitor to our yard lately because they usually aren’t as interested in smelling around our yard.

Whatever it is, it eats bugs and small animals or birds as seen from the bones. Could be scat or something that was thrown up?

Finally went through some boxes I haven’t seen since high school. Happened across a shoebox with my dbz cards!

I think the Vegeta, Ascendant is my best card?
