It mostly comes up in the form of language translations in fanfics. Personally, I don't mind the idea that Dick is Roma, but I would like it more if fanfic authors didn't just use Romanian for Romani so often. You would think for such a vehemently defended headcanon, the fans would actually know what being Romani means. Sure Romani people can also be Romanian, but they aren't interchangeable and the Roma have their own language and dialects. Substituting one language for the other feels shallow.

I wouldn't mind it if it happened only once in a while, but it just shows up so often that I just had to share my thoughts somehow. Ultimately, it's probably not a big deal.
