My sweet boy met a hitchhiker on his walk the other night.

He was on a walk with my partner and neither of them noticed until they were under a street lamp. Clearly he was the one that was still oblivious 😂

(In case anyone is wondering, it’s a Mediterranean gecko. Very common where I live and not dangerous at all.)

Edit to add: the little guy jumped off like a winged squirrel shortly after the pic. They love lamps because of the bugs around them.

Just rewatched season 5 and can see it in a whole new perspective now. **spoiler alert**

Dorothy is a true badass. At first Lorraine thinks she’s some kind of “swindler”, taking advantage of her sweet unsuspecting son (who she often tells to shut up when the grown-ups are talking). But she soon realizes that Dot is actually a woman who has escaped two domestically violent situations without asking anyone for help and this is the third one that she actually does need help with. Meeting Roy and seeing how misogynistic he is, Lorraine can tell that he wasn’t an easy person to escape from and gains a new respect for Dot, even saying “no daughter of mine is going down on the one-yard line”. Dorothy almost cried because it doesn’t seem like she has ever had a reliable mother figure in her life before Lorraine, and being called “daughter” was a new acceptance she never felt before.

In the scene of the first episode where Dot is in the car with Wayne on their way to Christmas photos, it looks like she’s afraid of what her mother-in-law will think in terms of her arrest, but it’s really showing the face of a terrified woman realizing her finger prints are in the system now under her new name. she needs to figure out what to do next. It’s kind of satirical when it comes to Lorraine having her hold a semi-automatic for the Christmas photo because you can clearly see how unenthusiastic Dot looks about doing so. The last thing she wants in her life is more violence, but cut to the gun store scene and you can see she obviously knows exactly what kind of gun her mother-in-law had her holding and she knows how to use it.

And on top of all of this? Munch is a man who has lived for 500 years and at the end of the day, he really just wants a kind person to make him some good pancakes. He even asks the old lady he moves in with to make him some, and he repays her by killing her son. So when Dot does this, it touches his soul in such a way that he feels the debt that was unsettled between them of “a pound of flesh” has been paid. He also smiles, which you don’t see him EVER do throughout the season.

I could go on, but it’s too much for me type without feeling like a total psycho with no life. But, I really like this season and I feel like it was downplayed by a lot of fans who enjoyed the other seasons better. It’s a different vibe, for sure, but it still has so many layers like all the other seasons do.

TIL that the hamster cage looks perfect on the baby bed 👌

I love how it looks like there are pet supplies underneath.

My dog and boxers

So I have a whippet bull mix who is now 8 years old. He’s very sweet and has good dog etiquette when properly introduced to other dogs. We live the apartment life and our walk times can coincide with other people walking their dogs. No biggy. My boy is really good with the “leave it” command and will ignore other dogs when I tell him to.

I’ve lived with him in several different apartment complexes and He has been attacked 4 times by neighboring dogs. All of them seem to have been some type of boxer mix (you can just tell). Each time he has been attacked has been unprovoked. The owner simply accidentally dropped the leash, or the dog got out of their apartment suddenly, and even one crazy female broke out of her harness when we were just turning a corner. My dog tries to fight back, but (bless his heart) he’s not good at it😓

So after a fourth time and noticing the breed, is this a common thing with boxer breeds? They seem to just immediately hate my dog and then go for the jugular. There’s never even a greeting. It’s always so sudden. I’m starting to wonder if my dog might have an offensive scent or something.

The difference in size of these Big Mama sausages

For context, I ask my partner to grab one of these at the gas station if he gets gas on his way home from work throughout the week. (It’s a preggo craving so I like to have them at the ready).

Anyways, these came from two different Circle K’s that are about two miles from each other. Definitely same distribution center, but different batches.

The color is a little different too.

How can I make this walkway gap look less weird?

I’m about to move into a new rental apartment. I love the whole layout of the place except for this gap between walls in the master bedroom. It would look much better as a doorway, with some wall covering the top, but instead, the gap is all the way to the ceiling.

The doorway to the toilet and shower is in front of the vanity, but I would still like to add a cover of some sort for the vanity as well. I can’t do any painting since it’s a rental, but I can mount whatever I want.

I was thinking curtains, but that might look tacky?

What would you do?

Edit:
I appreciate the feedback on it looking good once I add decor, but I would still prefer there to be something that covers it because I would like more privacy for the vanity area. Not arguing that it would look fine once I add to the room, but that doesn’t really solve the awkwardness like I mentioned when it comes to cover.

I also thought of maybe mounting a sliding barn door. But it would have to be so tall 😭
