Wigs -Chemo

Hey All, so I have Breast cancer and I been cold capping and although I finished my first phase of chemo 12 weekly chemos I know have graduated to four stronger chemos that will probably wipe more of my hair, I lost about 15-20 percent and have some bald spots and I have def less density. I have gone to get some consultation at some wig places and I don’t want to spend $2k plus for a hair topper and she said at the time like a month ago I had to much hair for a wig, which I don’t get because I thought yiu can wear a hair net or something and wear a wig, Anyhow I don’t want to spend a lot on a wig but if anyone hear can send me some options of some wigs I have a bob right now and all my hair coloring I had like a balayage is basically gone, so any options of reasonable pricing would be great! Thank you all in advance!

AC CHEMO

Hey everyone! I’m starting AC chemo soon, and I’m honestly terrified. I’m sure many of you felt the same way before starting it, I did pretty ok with the T&C part.
I have a major fear of vomiting, so the nausea and vomiting side effects are making me especially nervous. My oncology team has suggested a medication plan to help prevent it, but I wanted to check in here and hear about your experiences.
Which anti-nausea medications were you given during the infusion, and which medications were you prescribed to take at home? What combination worked best for preventing or controlling nausea and vomiting during AC?
Thank you so much for sharing. Hearing what helped others would make me feel a little more prepared. Any insight would be great.

Chemo-Acne

Hey! So besides the awful sideeffects that come with cancer and chemo, I now have acne or rosacea or both, my derm isn’t really helpful she gave me some rosacea cream and now since I am of darker skin, I have all these dark marks where I had some pimples, they are all very small like pimples. Anyway anyone here experience this and did it go away after chemo , and what helped subside these pimples or rosacea from getting worse ? Anyway, anyone have any advice or insight , what helped with the acne and hyperpigmentation, any advice would be great. Thank you! 🙏

Immunotherapy Related Rash

Hey everyone! I’m hoping someone has gone through something similar because I’m getting so frustrated.
Around infusion #4 I got a terrible rash and my team thought it was the Taxol, so they switched me to Abraxane. They even did a skin biopsy. Thankfully the rash eventually went away.
Then I had my next Keytruda infusion…and the rash came right back. It’s not as bad as the first time, but it’s still all over my legs and other areas, super itchy, and honestly embarrassing. I can’t even wear shorts or a dress in this heat because of how it looks.
The only thing they’ve given me is a steroid spray. I’m seeing the dermatologist again on Thursday, but I’m worried it’ll be the same story. By the time I see her, the rash will probably have mostly faded, she’ll tell me to keep using the spray, and then next week I’ll get Keytruda again and it’ll flare right back up.
Has anyone else had this happen during KEYNOTE-522? If so, did anything actually help? A different steroid cream, another topical medication, antihistamines…anything? I honestly don’t think this spray is doing much. It seems like the rash just settles down on its own with time, and it definitely isn’t helping the itching.
I’d love to hear what worked for you because I really don’t want this to be my life every three weeks. 😩
Adding pictures of the rash and the steroid spray for reference. ❤️

Hey everyone, any advice on which cold cap to use starting process of a fitting before my chemo date and wanted any advice if I should go with Penguin or Paxman, I am doing treatment at MSK in NYC and o think they offer both, but wanted to check and see which had more success. I can’t control anything at the moment and I know I am taking a gamble and might still lose my hair, but here is to trying. Thank you all in advance… 🙌🏼
