ADT and exercise

I feel for the men on here that are on ADT because I am not on it and I just finished 9 of 45 IMRT Treatments and I have no energy.

I am close to 72 and been working out and power walking or running (in my younger days) most of my life.

I was on testosterone therapy since 2018 and cut off by Urologist beginning early March.

I stayed in the top limits 800 to a 1000.

Men's range is 300 to 1100 before I here any testosterone abuse comments

I am hypogonasium now at 190 ng

I am pushing to workout, but I get so tired.

I feel quilty complaining when I read these post.

Maybe it is the fast drop that is getting to me

Does it get worse going on ADT to reach 0 or am I close to that now?

My Primary doctor said it will be hard to get my natural testosterone up due to my age on being put on therapy because of low testosterone.

I ask Claude the same question and got the same answer that my doctor was correct

Second opinion

I had a biopsy March 3rd and 6 cores were gleeson 6 (3+3) and 2 cores gleeson 7 (3+4). The gleeson 7's Tumor 7.5 mm in length with 50% tissue involved. I live in a small retirement town in Florida and there are alot of oncologist and Urologist.

I have had my spacer placed and CT Simulation done. I am supposed to start 45 treatments of IMRT, whenever I get the phone call.

I have been doing alot of research and feel that maybe I should slow down and why am I not offered SBRT. The answer from the tech that was doing the CT Simulation was that he has worked with SBRT and IMRT and IMRT is much better on the body.

The Urologist and Radiologist told me to stop my trt.

All the research I have found is testosterone therapy does not cause cancer.

I brought up the the research on saturation model to my radiologist and he is probably in his mid 60's and his reply was thats all bull and he has been so busy because of so many men using testosterone. Sorry for such a long post but my testosterone went from 1050 to 190 and really feel bad.

I feel quilty because I see all the men that have to take ADT.

My plan is radiation no ADT.

Sbrt vs Imrt

IMRT VS SBRT. I am scheduled for IMRT 45 10 minute sessions and no ADT. I called my Urologist and asked about sbrt because of shorter sessions

He told is too much radiation at a time. I thinks that is BS. That is the only type of radiation they have. I am looking into sbrt. I have to find out soon. I am scheduled for my marker insert Wednesday. I am waiting for my gp to call me back and ask him. If I do change, I will need a referral.

Any thoughts. I have time. My Polaris score was 2.8 active surveillance.

They get more money for imrt than sbrt because of the 5 visit compared to 45

On March 13th I had biopsies. 12 cores

8 were positive for cancer. 6 cores were gleeson 6 3+3 and 2 were gleeson 7 3+4. Polaris score was 2.8 . Choices active surveillance or treatment. I feel active surveillance really sounds good, but sooner or later, I will have to make a decision.

Talked to radiologist today and he agreed.

Have not talked surgeons yet.

Radiologist suggested 9 weeks radiation and no ADT drugs

I was more nervous about ADT drugs.

I have been on testosterone therapy for 8 years. That is now 86. I am gonna feel bad from testosterone crash.

This is why ADT meds scare me.

I am leaning towards radiation because, I don't want to go through the surgery. then it comes back and have to do radiation.

9 weeks 5 days a week and no ADT.

Any thoughts on my decision?

72 years old and I have been working out in gyms most of my life. 145 lbs 23% body mas with 11% bodyfat.

I am going to miss my testosterone therapy. Oh well when all is over I work on naturally raise my testosterone. If I am cancer free
