Approaching five months post‑op, so I wanted to share my progress.

Patient: 55 years old, Norwood 5–6.

Procedure:
Dr. Laorwong implanted 4,100 grafts on May 18, 2026, along with PRP, exosomes, red‑light therapy, and HBOT. The process was virtually painless, including the local anesthesia. We started at 9:20 AM and wrapped at 6:20 PM — shorter than many reported, but my chart noted “easy recipient and closure,” which may explain it. Otherwise, everything matched the typical Absolute Hair experience. Interestingly, I had no scabbing at all, which confused me on “scab removal” day.

Lodging & Locale:
I stayed at the Standard Mahanakhon. It’s Bangkok’s tallest building — excellent stay, great restaurants, and a mini‑mall next door called The Cube. I upgraded to a suite, which made recovery much more comfortable. It's four direct stops on the BTS, so very convenient.

Mini‑Crisis:
Everything was smooth until my last night, when I went on a pub crawl. I hit my head in a Hobbit‑sized karaoke bathroom. Initially I panicked, but I calmed down thinking it was only a few grafts out of thousands. The doctor confirmed the next day that it wasn’t significant.

Post‑Care at Home:
I added a few extras — one month of GHK‑Cu injections and two exosome microneedling sessions, with a third planned.

Meds:
I started Propecia and Rogaine in the late ’90s but dropped both — a decision I regret. Restarted both about two years ago with limited success. Post‑surgery, I switched to oral minoxidil 2.5 mg. I’ve always responded well to minoxidil but disliked topical compliance; the oral version has been easier and effective.

Results:
I’m very pleased. Comments started shortly after the three‑month mark, and now I get unsolicited compliments. A lot of thinning guys at work have been peppering me with questions.

Next Steps:
Planning to return in May to address the crown, which wasn’t touched in this session.
